New Year’s Eve is just around the corner and what better way to spend it by rocking it out to OzzFest 2018 with some of the greatest acts in modern rock music. New Year’s Eve in Los Angeles this year will see the man himself OZZY OSBOURNE headlining along with ROB ZOMBIE, MARILYN MANSON and a few more acts that are ready to entice you.
This 31st night, the show will take place at Los Angeles at the famed The Forum, which also includes an indoor and an outdoor large stage, some fun and frolic festivities, and some good food trucks. Joining the headliners are JONATHAN DAVIS, ZAKK SABBATH, BODY COUNT(first OzzFest debut performance), DEVILDRIVER and WEDNESDAY13. If this doesn’t convince you to get on those moshing boots, then I don’t know what will!
Legendary Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan taps producer Shooter Jennings for his new solo record in the works. The two came together earlier this spring to begin the recording process in Los Angeles. The unnamed album is due out next year. It is a musical supplement to McKagan’s 2015 book, How To Be A Man (And Other Illusions), a New York Times bestseller. A followup book was put on hold for the time being as these songs seemed to write themselves. These new songs were inspired by McKagan’s experience traveling the world with Guns N’ Roses’ on their extravagant Not in This Lifetime tour. McKagan stated “The heartbreak, anger, fear, confusion and divide I have experienced over the last two and a half years of traveling this globe of ours coerced these words into songs that tell my truth, and one that I hope will spread and help us all. I do this for my daughters … I do this for my love of where I grew up …I do this because I truly feel it must be done and said right now.” Continue reading

Due to all of these facets and more, the DVD will give you goosebumps many times over, yet it crowns the end of the Tarja chapter with a unique show that could hardly have been better or more spectacular. Nightwish have unveiled a monumental live video for the song “Ghost Love Score” taken from their upcoming ‘End of an Era’ re-issue . Continue reading

After 8 years Carolina Rebellion has come to an end with the split between DWP and AEG. Because of the naming rights the festival had to be renamed for DWP to continue with the festival. As of today it was released that the new name of the festival will be the EPICENTER Festival. The festival will still take place in early May on May 10th thru 12th. However, the location has changed from Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina where Carolina Rebellion was held the past several years to Rockingham, North Carolina at the Rockingham Festival Grounds where the festival was originally held in its early years. The location change also brings with it some additional advantages for the festival. DWP has stated “With the move to our new site, we’re developing 140 acres into festival grounds, which will allow us to provide enhances camping amenities, nighttime entertainment with no curfew, and expanded food and beverage offerings, all highlighted by a massive music lineup covering the spectrum of rock and alternative music.” Continue reading

Glam metal heros, Def Leppard have a way of making anything original. Perhaps it is the 80’s layered and harmonized vocals, or the even more 80’s reversed drum slap, but they have managed to reinvent the Depeche Mode classic, “Personal Jesus.” An accompanying music video is streaming for the single now. A black and white, minimalistic approach not to distract from the sonic groove. Continue reading
