After the tragic death of former band member Kyle Pavone We Came As Romans finally came back to making new music and I think most of you reading are just as glad about that as I am. I remember hearing ”While We Sleep” for the first time and thinking to myself ”How can this be so beautiful?”. I had never been into the genre let alone into Insomnium but instantly it touched something I had no clue was even there. Their music has a healing power like no one else and that includes brand new track ”Heart Like A Grave”!
Cattle Decapitation is back and greater than ever before! After having released 6 mind blowing and most of all brutal musical pieces they decided to add another one to their collection this year. ‘Death Atlas’ is set to release on the 29th of November and is looking really solid so far. With only 1 track ”One Day Closer To The End Of The World” they managed to gain their fans excited again for more Cattle Decapitation and I am one of those people!
Atomship is one of those bands you will instantly love when trying out, even if you don’t like the genre you will most likely still appreciate the pure skill this band has. The drumming is fantastic and I am blown away by the riff work and soul touching vocals, all in all Atomship really deserves their own spot in this month’s State Of The Art!
With only 3 albums and 1 full EP on their name Crown The Empire quickly managed to claim theirselves a spot in the metalcore scene among bands like Memphis May Fire, Of Mice And Men and many more. And now after almost exactly 3 years since the release of ‘Retrograte’ they are ready to blow you away yet again with upcoming record ‘Sudden Sky’!
Wage War fans couldn’t be happier than right at the moment they realised their favorite core act is back! With their 3th album ‘Pressure’ slowly heading our way and one of the best metalcore tours being announced right after first single ”Who I Am” dropped fans are in for a big treat!
Motionless In White has always been one of the most populair bands in their genre, from their shock value to the intense and creepy writing to their heavy breakdowns that will make you stop breathing they have never once stopped being a force not to be reckoned with and that definitely includes ‘Disguise’!
A hot Columbus morning greeted the concert goers as they arrived at Mapfre Stadium for Day 2 of the Sonic Temple Arts and Music Festival. The sun was beaming down and and there wasn’t much relief from the wind. There also wasn’t as many people lined up waiting to get in when the gates opened. Maybe it was the late first night that kept those numbers down.
