Josh Todd Of BUCKCHERRY “The Type Of Rock We’re Doing Has Never Been Mainstream.”

Buckcherry have had their share of ups and downs over the bands nearly quarter century of existence. From their breakout hit, ‘Lit Up’, off of 1999’s self titled debut the band brought back a sense of danger and sex appeal to rock and roll when down tuned guitars and rapped vocals had taken over the mainstream. The band broke up after dismal sales for their follow up, ‘Timebomb’, but were resurrected years later when they self released 2006’s ’15’ which included the mega hit ‘Crazy Bitch’ singles ‘Sorry’ and ‘Everything’, putting the band back into arenas opening for Kid Rock and Motley Crue.  Since then the band hasn’t looked back with a myriad of lineup changes which sees vocalist Josh Todd as the sole original member. Buckcherry released their 8th album, ‘Warpaint’, early in 2019 and have been bringing their high energy, infectious brand of hard rock to eager fans worldwide. Continue reading

Sonic Temple Spotlight: WAGE WAR

If you think that you’ve already heard it all when it comes to heavy music, you just haven’t heard Wage War.  The group — which is composed of vocalist Briton Bond, guitarist/vocalist Cody Quistad, guitarist Seth Blake, bassist Chris Gaylord and drummer Stephen Kluesener — formed in Ocala, Florida in 2013.  After playing shows around the area and picking up steam, they were quickly signed to Fearless Records, and did it the old-fashioned way: By sending a song to the label.  From there, the group linked up with the production team of Andrew Wade (Neck Deep, Motionless In White) and A Day To Remember vocalist Jeremy McKinnon who produced their 2015 debut ‘Blueprints’ together and returned to produce the sophomore full-length ‘Deadweight’, and most recently, “Low”, the band’s newest single released earlier this year – check it out!

Danny Kiranos On Amigo The Devil Persona “It Felt Wrong To Attach My Personal Name To Emotions That Weren’t Mine”

Danny Kiranos aka Amigo The Devil is something of an anomaly, a performer who has been tagged as folk music, but has lyrics and themes you might find on a death metal record. One listen to 2018’s ‘Everything Is Fine’ and you’ll understand what separates Amigo from the rest.  Perhaps it’s his everyday looks, or his haunting melancholic music that has allowed him to open for Dropkick Murphys and getting on a lot of Danny Wimmer festivals, including this years Sonic Temple Festival and winning fans over the old fashioned way.  In an era of pomp and circumstance, it’s refreshing to see an artist who can captivate with just his voice and a guitar.
