Another year might have come to an end but the music from 2019 will continue on forever. Even though the year has seen many great records it is finally time for me to pick my own top 10, with some additional special albums that made my year just a touch better, and share those with you good people. So with that being said dig in and have a wonderful 2020!
Upon A Burning Body is that one band you never knew you needed until it slapped you right in the face. With 4 crazy albums on their name and another one almost ready to see daylight they are greater than ever. And after getting the first look at the album with pre-released track ”King Of Diamonds” I instantly knew that ‘Southern Hostility’ was about to blow us away!
Bad Omens is a Los Angeles based metalcore act that formed out of several different projects in 2013. Vocalist Noah Sabastian began writing music outside of the current band he was a member of in Richmond, Va. Noah then contacted his friends, guitarist Nicholas Ryan and bassist Vincent Riquier. They helped put the missing pieces together with Joakim “Jolly” Karlsson and Nick Folio.
New England metalcore five-piece, The Floor’s Embrace are set to debut their first EP, ‘Monarch.’ Founded in 2014 in Braintree, Massachusetts, these guys have shared the stage with such acts as Suicide Silence, Upon a Burning Body, Feed Her to the Sharks, and Scale the Summit. With their sharply barbed sound, they have gained a fanbase by playing live shows around New England.
Upon A Burning Body recently released their album ‘Straight From The Barrio’ on October 25th. Their 4th record on Sumerian Records. The Texas deathcore band is trying to achieve the same accomplishments as their sophomore record ‘Red. White. Green.’, which debuted at No. 105 on the Billboard 200 in 2012. The band has now released their 2nd video from the new album. The previous video was for “Already Broken”, released about 3 weeks ago and showcased an amazing chorus and some Latin flare. Now the band has released a 2nd video for the track “B.M.F.” The song is pure aggression and includes an amazing Fresh Prince Of Bel Air theme throughout the video.
