The Bucketlist With THE DARKEST HEARTS

*In this series we pose the age old questions to a wide array of music lovers. As fans of music most of us keep a mental list of active bands we want to see live that we haven’t yet seen. The Bucketlist brings to you those lists of your favorite artists and why those bands mean so much to them*

It’s that time of the month again, yes the Bucketlist segment is back with another killer band opening up about the bands they’d love to see so bad. For today’s edition we have THE DARKEST HEARTS from Tennessee, a DIY hard rock band that echoes characteristics of grunge with strong, melodic pop rock vocals against almost heavy metal instrumentals and organic tones. So, since this one we found to be an amazing band, we thought why not shoot them up our bucketlist question and see what acts they feature on their list. Without beating around the bush much, let’s see which bands they are dying to see.

Bow Down To HIGH ON FIRE’S “Electric Messiah”

High On Fire are back with their 8th full-length release, Electric Messiah. This follows up their 2015 release Luminiferous via Entertainment One Music. With Sleep’s triumphant return on the stoner holy day of 4/20 and this new album, it has been quite a year for vocalist/guitarist Matt Pike. As far as this record Pike explains, “This is by far the best record I’ve ever made with the High on Fire stamp. It just keeps getting better and better. We just try to outdo ourselves. I’m not saying the old work is progressively worse, it’s just that we get better every time instead of burning out, which is a common finality for a lot of bands. This album is fucking excellent, I just love everything on it, I’m not bummed about anything. It’s great when you think that about your record.” This is their third release done with producer Kurt Ballou (Converge, Torche, Kvelertak), creating a strong bond with the three-piece. Now with more than a decade as unit with Jeff Matz on bass and Des Kensel on drums, this is some of High On Fire’s best work. Continue reading

Formed in 2013 by the two friends, 100 Watt Vipers have released 3 D.I.Y. Albums; ‘Something Wicked Comes This Way’, ‘Cold Sunday Blues’, and 2016’s release of ‘Hellhound Train Rollin’. The Internet Does Not Make People Smarter!

The internet does not make people smarter

Agree, most of us spend very long time in front of a monitor or a screen of some gadget. Cartoonists even sadly joke about quiet family evenings, when each member of a family, instead of communicating with living relatives, prefers to look at the screen and chat with unfamiliar “friends” in social networks. Chris Adler (LAMB OF GOD) Opens Up About Surgery & Recovery [Post Op Photo]

Lamb Of God drummer Chris Adler has recently took some time away from the band as they have been direct support for Slayer on their final world tour. In July it was announced that Prong and Winds of Plague drummer Art Cruz would replace Adler on the tour but there wasn’t any explanation given as to why Adler was being temporarily replaced. Today the drummer revealed why he has been absent and updated fans on his current status. Chris explains he was involved in a motorcycle accident late last year and has been recovering ever since. Stating “I had a motorcycle accident late last year that shattered my collarbone and right shoulder and also chipped bones in my hip.” Even though he was able to play a few shows earlier this year, he had to step down once again due to issues he experienced related to his injury. He has since had surgeries to help correct the damage. As well as the surgeries, he has been strict with his diet, even including supplements like resveratrol powder to ensure his bones heal properly and that is body is getting all of the nutrients it needs.

Chances are high that he contacted a legal firm such as lamber goodnow to assist with medical funds due to the loss of income from that portion of the tour. Motorcycling accidents can be extremely dangerous and often result in injury. If you become involved in such an incident then it may be a good idea to contact someone like this motorcycle accident attorney in Los Angeles to help you in the aftermath. You can read Adler’s entire status below and also see a picture of his post surgery scar. We certainly wish Chris the best and hope to see him back behind the kit as quick as possible.
