QUIET RIOT To Release ‘Hollywood Cowboys’ Via Frontiers Music [Debut Single Stream]

Quiet Riot is a rock & roll phenomenon. Widely known as the first heavy metal band to top the US pop charts, the Los Angeles quartet became a global sensation thanks to their monsterous smash hit 1983 album, ‘Metal Health.’ That album topped the Billboard album charts for several months and the follow up album, ‘Condition Critical’ went double platinum. The band has continued to record (a total of 11 studio albums) and tour throughout their 30 + year history. The only remaining original member Frankie Banali’s history with Quiet Riot spans over 34 years and he has the distinction of being the only member of Quiet Riot to have recorded on every single Quiet Riot release. The band has now announced a November 8th release date for their upcoming album ‘Hollywood Cowboys.’ The album features 12 stunning tracks and was produced by Fankie Banali. The first single from the album “Don’t Call it Love,” is available for streaming below. Pre-order the album and stream the single here. Continue reading

UNLEASH THE ARCHERS To Release ‘Explorers’ EP; Includes 2 Cover Songs! [Teaser Video]

Unleash The Archers return with their new EP ‘Explorers,’ to be released on October 11, 2019 via Napalm Records, only two years after having released their smashing album ‘Apex.’ The EP will feature two cover songs. The first single to be released on August 30, 2019 is called “Northwest Passage”, originally written and performed by Stan Rogers. For those unfamiliar with Stan Rogers he was a baritone Canadian folk singer who released 10 albums and 2 greatest hits releases. Rogers was killed alongside 22 other passengers most likely of smoke inhalation on June 2, 1983, while traveling on Air Canada Flight 797 from Dallas, Texas to Toronto. Unleash The Archers have chosen to cover the song “Northwest Passage” which is the title track from Roger’s 1981 release. The second track on the EP is a cover of the Teaze song “Heartless World.” Teaze was a Canadian hard rock band that was active from 1975-1981. The band released four studio albums and a live album recorded in Japan. “Heartless World” comes from the bands 1979 album ‘One Night Stands.’ Both tracks on the ‘Explorers’ EP are meant to pay homage to Canadian artists. LOUDER THAN LIFE 2019 Ticket Giveaway! [Entry Details]

Louder Than Life is back with yet another star studded lineup after being forced to cancel the festival in 2018 due to flooding at Champions Park, which also caused the Bourbon & Beyond Festival to cancel the final day of that festival as well. The flooding caused immense damage to the festival grounds so the team at Danny Wimmer Presents and the city of Louisville found a new home for not only Louder Than Life and Bourbon & Beyond but also the new country music festival Hometown Rising. The new home for the 3 consecutive weekends of music and spirits will be held at the Highland Festival Grounds At the Kentucky Expo Center. Keyword being “Highland,” so the rains won’t stop us in 2019. Guns N’ Roses will be the major headliner this year along with Slipknot performing after their brand new album release that has been the talk of the metal world. Guns N’ Roses alone is enough to have Loudmouths already packing their bags in anticipation to head to Louisville or should we say “Paradise City.” Continue reading

Exhorder’s enduring legacy began in the mid-80’s when they defined the sound of Louisiana thrash and groove metal.
