BLACKTOP MOJO Release New Video For “Can’t Sleep” [Video Stream]

Blacktop Mojo comes from the great state of Texas. The band had some of their roots in country music, but when forming decided to go with a more rock edge. The style in which they play combines elements of southern rock and 70’s classic rock, and they don’t forget the guitar solos either. Matt James provides the vocals within the band. He has a soulful sound that creates a overwhelming amount of passion within the songs. Though the band writes incredible original songs their covers is really what has helped propel their popularity. Blacktop Mojo covered Aerosmith’s classic song “Dream On” and it has climbed up the charts and impressed pretty much anyone that has heard it. The band has also covered songs by Phil Collins and Blind Melon. The Blind Melon cover of “No Rain” is what instantly made me a fan of the band. Blacktop Mojo has released ‘Burn The Ships’ in March of last year. The band teamed up with Muscle Shoals producer Jimmy Johnson for their highly anticipated sophomore outing. The album was released via the band’s label, Cuhmon Records. The band has now recently been working on a new album.

When he first announced plans to release a solo album he stated: “”In the past, I released a few things close to a solo release with Hello Demons… Meet Skeletons (mainly acoustic); Call Me No One, which I did with [Sevendust drummer] Morgan Rose. Both projects were truly amazing experiences and still want to entertain doing more Call Me No One and Hello Demons… Meet Skeletons in the future. But I’ve decided to release a project under my name that is gonna represent where I’m at musically right now. I feel the need to do this and stand on my own two feet and push myself to make some music that moves me. To express myself.” He also mentioned that the album would include some very special guests. The Music Industry In Modern Times

The Music Industry In Modern Times

Sometimes, you feel so lonely and the only thing that can soothe you is music. Music affects your emotions and moods and lightens your spirit. I wonder what life would be without it. Perish the thought! Luckily there are blogs such as https://www.hooliganrocknroll.com/ that can delve into the music scene and satiate our need to get our music fixes. Music did not originate from our modern instruments like radio or the iPod. Believe it or not, music was changing lives and changing society way before any Audio Video Company started installing sophisticated audio systems that make listening to music as easy as it’s ever been. It started way back in the stone age. Some studies on ancient music instruments proved that the first musical instrument dated as far back as 40,000 years ago. They also believe that the first bone flute which was found in Slovakia was one of the huge steps in music technology. Continue reading
