LIV SIN Reminisces Classic Heavy Metal With New Music Video, “King Of The Damned”

For me, this song is a call to action to everyone that we as humans will soon extinguish all of the world’s wildlife

Swedish metal priestess LIV SIN has released the video for her newest single, “King of the Damned,” out now through Despotz Records.  The track is both heartfelt and in your face at the same time as it concerns one of Liv’s most passionate loves, animals.  And specifically wildlife. Following suit of many artists who are voicing their concerns on animal welfare and against its abuse, LIV SIN‘s new single “King Of The Damned” is co-operation with the Swedish Animal Rights organisation “Djurens Rätt

LIV SIN was formed by charismatic front-woman Liv Jagrell in 2016 from the ashes of SISTER SIN that disbanded the preceding year. Carrying ahead the flag of Swedish Heavy Metal LIV SIN plans to take over the world and give us some major throwback with its 80s heavy metal, hard rock sound but with new found energy and heavier modern sonic attack.

TAX THE HEAT Unveil New Single “Money In The Bank” Ahead Of Second Studio Album – Preorders Live Today! [Official Video Stream]

“We are extremely excited to unveil the first single from our new album. ‘Money In The Bank’ combines key elements of what we do best: big riffs, big choruses and filthy guitars. We believe that an album should be seen as a snapshot in time of an artist or band, this album has captured us at a particularly exciting moment.” – Alex Veale

Modern British rockers Tax The Heat have unveiled their first single “Money In The Bank” ahead of their forthcoming second studio album ‘Change Your Position’. The record is scheduled for release on 9th March 2018 via Nuclear Blast Entertainment and is available to pre-order today! It will be available on CD, Digitally, Limited Edition Gatefold Vinyl and Limited Edition Light Blue Vinyl. Order your copy here and purchase the teaser single “Money In The Bank” here, and catch them live on the final few dates of their UK tour with Black Star Riders!

Inspired by classic 60’s rock n’ roll, Tax The Heats sound harks back to the days of the greats such as The Beatles, The Who and The Kinks whilst remaining equally comparable to modern to contemporary artists such as Queens Of The Stone Age, Jack White and The Black Keys. “Money In The Bank” bridges the gap between old and new and reinvigorates the unrivaled classic sound with a modern alternative twist. As guitarist/vocalist Alex Veale says We love the energy of those ’60s bands. Maximum R&B – that’s the basis for TAX THE HEAT. But we’re taking it somewhere else…creating something that has that raw energy but is also original.” From humble beginnings in 2015, Tax The Heat have become one of the most notable of new British rock acts. Singles taken from debut album ‘Fed To The Lions’ (2016) picked up airplay on Kerrang! Radio, Planet Rock and BBC Introducing. The band also honed their live craft supporting the likes of Cadillac 3, Reef, The Graveltones, Black Star Riders, Masters Of Reality, Virginmarys and Thunder, and festival appearances such as 2000 Trees, Download, Calling and Ramblin’ Man Fair Continue reading

Review: GRANT NATIONAL – ‘Double Black’ [Album Stream]

Grant National come to us from Germany and claim they have been “Making juices flow since 1973”. You can certainly hear some old school influence in their sound, but they are by no means stuck in that era and there are tons of modern influence in their music as well. The band is comprised of Gaylord Goldmann (Vocals, Bass, Guitar), Earo Sheppert (Guitars), and new member N.D. Sheppert (Drums). With influences ranging from James Brown to The Melvins the band somehow manages to cohesively mold all these differing influences into one well flowing style. The bands last release was ‘Volume II’ in 2013 and prior to that the band released ‘Sheer Beauty’ in 2011. The band has now unleashed their newest creative force with ‘Double Black’ on October 20th, 2017. Grant National took a little longer between records this time around and I believe it certainly shows in the progression of their sound. ‘Double Black’ was recorded with German Noiserock popes Guido Lucas & Ralf J. Rock at their Stöhrsound Studio during the 1st half of 2017 and the album was released via Bluenoise Records.

Album Review: OBLIVION “The Path Towards…’ [Partial Album Stream + Video Stream]

It’s been over 3 years since the release of Oblivions critically acclaimed debut ‘Called To Rise’, and now their highly anticipated follow-up release is ready to be unleashed. ‘The Path Towards’ is the next exciting chapter for Oblivion in their odyssey of musical mastery, with internationally acclaimed composer (and Antagony founder) Dr. Nick Vasallo at the helm. Boasting not only an impeccable line-up itself*, ‘The Path Towards’ also features an all-star line-up of guest artists that include Karl Sanders (Nile, guest songwriter), Eddie Hermida (Suicide Silence/All Shall Perish, guest vocals), Enrico H. Di Lorenzo (Hideous Divinity, guest vocals), and Carlos Saldana (Connoisseur, guest vocals). This album also marks the return of Ben Orum (All Shall Perish and Antagony founder) and Nick Vasallo collaborating on music since Antagony’s debut album in 2001. ‘The Path Towards…’ is out November 17th via Unique Leader Records and is available to order here.

A follow-up is always a hard feat for many an artist, but with 2013’s debut having been crowned “the must-own album of 2013” by Metal Injection, and comments such as “the band’s eleven song display of nothing more than pure aggression with more musical depth than many bands can find in their entire discography” from Sputnik Music; Oblivion had already set the bar extremely high and left fans and media outlets alike with a burning desire for their sophomore release. Vasallos talents as an accomplished composer certainly bring a whole new dimension to the music, with this record giving off an overwhelming experience of boundary crossing metal at its finest. This release is arguably the most exciting death metal release of the year, giving off a lasting impression that we are listening to veterans in the death metal scene (despite in real terms only being early on in their career.) BUCKCHERRY Vocalist Josh Todd On Building His New Band “I Wanna Get Away From Buckcherry”! [Audio]

Josh Todd has easily become a household name since Buckcherry’s jaw dropping performance at Woodstock ’99 which propelled them to stardom. Buckcherry has since released 7 studio albums the most recent being 2015’s simply titled ‘Rock N Roll’. Josh also released a solo album in 2003 titled ‘You Made Me’. Not only has the rocking vocalist been on the stage for years but he has also made appearances on screen as well. He was in one of my all time favorite movies The Salton Sea which starred Val Kilmer, Vincent D’Onofrio and Meatloaf. If you haven’t seen this film I highly suggest you check it out. He has also appeared on the shows Bones, The Shield and the movie The Banger Sisters. This year Josh Todd formed a new project named Josh Todd & The Conflict. The band has a heavier style than what he has done with Buckcherry and it’s a in your face rock n roll style that instantly gets your blood pumping. The band released their debut album ‘Year of the Tiger’ on September 15, 2015 by Century Media Records. The album was co-produced by guitarist Stevie D and Stone Temple Pilots drummer Eric Kretz. The album also includes a cover of the Prince song “Erotic City”. Josh Todd & The Conflict are currently on tour through the end of November, so if they are coming to a venue near you I highly suggest you get out their and witness this band live. Below you can see the video for one of the bands singles “Fucked Up”. You can also check out the videos “Rain” and the title track “Year Of The Tiger” as well. Continue reading

A PERFECT CIRCLE Drop Minimalist Music Video For, “The Doomed”

Supergroup A PERFECT CIRCLE have released quite artsy and minimalist video for the track, “The Doomed“, which is the first new music to be heard from the band’s much expected 2018 studio album. Shot beautifully in a stark and contrasting black and white setting, mainly featuring portraits of each band member, the video was directed by Jeremy Danger and Travis Shinn, who has previously collaborated with THE OBSESSEDINTEGRITY etc. The band is in the final two weeks of their North American run, which has also stirred some debate on the use of cellphone for photography during their set. Check out the remaining tour dates below.

The Final Cross Country Vans Warped Tour Set For 2018

“Today, with many mixed feelings, I am here to announce that next year will be the final, full cross-country run of the Vans Warped Tour. I sit here reflecting on the tour’s incredible history, what the final run means for our community, and look forward to what’s to come as we commemorate the tour’s historic 25th anniversary in 2019.”

These is what the founder of The Vans Warped Tour, Kevin Lyman had to say yesterday(read full statement HERE). The mobile festival that had been running for well over two decades across the entire world has come to its final most tour next year, the farewell tour that is. When it started back in 1995, it was mainly a punk rooted festival and over the years the festival expanded its taste on every spectrum of music thus making it an exceptionally well received summer extravaganza among the teenage and young people of the nation. Warped has helped a lot of artists shoot to fame and now are pretty big fishes in the pond. Punk(or pop punk) bands like NOFX, BAD RELIGION, SICK OF IT ALL, BLINK-182MY CHEMICAL ROMANCEFALL OUT BOY and THE MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES, along with others from across the genre palette like KATY PERRYBLACK EYED PEAS, and other pop and hip hop sensations have been featured in what is one of the biggest running summer festivals.
