It is that time of year again where we cover albums that most people disgust and fear, slamming brutal death! This time we will talk about the oh so beautiful act Gorepot which is, obviously, as great as it sounds!
Darkest Horizon is back with a brand new album called ‘Aenigmata’ after having released 3 beautiful albums in the past. All the way from ‘Shattered Skies’ which got released in 2011 to their 2014 record ‘The Grand Continuum’ they have served us with dark and symphonic unholyness and with ‘Aenigmata’ they have proven that they can take their roots to the next level!
After the death of brother/band member Tom Searle Architects took a huge hit, as a band and as people who were close to him. But it only made them stronger and even more dedicated than they already were to create music that is able to touch you like nothing else. I present to you: ‘Holy Hell’!
With only a debut album out Currents have already made clear on what they bring to the table and after releasing ”Into Despair” I got no doubt in my mind that their up and coming EP ‘I Let The Devil In’ is going to sound amazing!
Most known for their 2006 record ‘The Fall Of Ideals’ are metalcore legends All That Remains. Even though they have changed their style from time to time most of their fans decided to keep on supporting them. And that isn’t without good reason. Regardless of style they have always managed to be kick ass at it and I got a feeling that the up and coming album ‘Victim Of The New Disease’ will go down in metalcore history as one of the best releases from at least the year 2018 if not more!

Bring Me The Horizon doesn’t really need an introduction at all. You either love or hate them. They started out like one of the biggest deathcore bands and have slowly evolved into a more pop, yet metal, version which makes what they create that much better. This band has basically been successful at every genre that have touched so far and the upcoming album ‘Amo’ is going to be no different!
They are back, your favorite brutal death act Carnal Decay, and about to destroy things in a way you never thought were possible. After releasing their full EP which goes by the same name they instantly claimed their spot in the scene and their brutal, yet funny, take on making a music video is one you got to admire!
After posting live videos of tracks from ‘King Of Everything’ and ‘Cloud Factory’ people were instantly hooked and so began the shaping of their way into the metal scene. But even before that they were one of the few female leading bands that got a lot of praise for their unique and brutal sound. Just everything is on point with these guys and ”Ape” doesn’t say otherwise!
Co-founder Oli Herbert of metalcore giants All That Remains has just passed away. All That Remains has posted an official statement about his death via social media which you can read for yourself right below.
”We were devastated to learn that Oli Herbert, our friend, guitar player, and founding member of All That Remains, has passed away.
Oli was an incredibly talented guitarist and song writer who defined Rock and Metal from the Northeast. His impact on the genres and our lives will continue indefinitely.
No further details are available at this time. The band and family request that you please respect their privacy and remember Oli by celebrating the great music he made.”
We from Metalnexus all are very sad to hear about the news and we wish strenght to all the family members and friends in need. He meant a lot for the community, band and ofcourse for the genre itself. He will be a great loss but at least we get to celebrate Oli by listening to his music on our good and bad days.
