Norwegian black metal stalwart ABBATH is back after a gap of three years, with their sophomore new album, ‘Outstrider‘. The upcoming second full length is scheduled to be released on 5th July, 2019 under the French label, Season of Mist. ALICE IN CHAINS are back in a very different way a fan would expect to. They have released the first two episodes of “Black Antenna,” a dark sci-fi thriller set against the backdrop of the band’s Grammy-nominated album, ‘Rainier Fog‘ (BMG). “Black Antenna” was directed by Adam Mason, written by Paul Sloan and Adam Mason and produced by Elizabeth Mason and Nick Vallelonga, who recently won two Oscars (“Best Original Screenplay”) and (“Best Picture”) for “Green Book” (Vallelonga also has a cameo in episode one of “Black Antenna,” “The One You Know.”) Continue reading
ROTTING CHRIST was one of the very first Greek metal band to break out of the Greek underground, and taste worldwide appreciation. With a staggering number of albums under their belt already, the band doesn’t seem to halt any soon, as they prepare to release their 13th studio album. ‘The Heretics‘ is just around the corner, releasing this coming week on February 15th via Season Of Mist.
The band has already released a couple of tracks from the forthcoming album, such as ‘Heaven and Hell and Fire‘ and ‘The Raven‘. Now adding on to the excitement, the Greeks have put out yet another track titled, ‘Ветры злые (Vetry Zlye)‘. It features Irina Zybina (GRAI) and is themed in Russian.
Legendary New Jersey thrashers OVERKILL are proud to announce ‘The Wings Over USA‘2019 tour. Kicking off on April 25th in Baltimore, the tour will make stops in Pittsburgh, Chicago and Nashville before concluding in Boston on May 11th. ROTTING OUT from Los Angeles have recently debuted an all new, energetic music video for “Reaper“, that absolutely rips through your eardrums. The furious new track comes just ahead of two California shows going down this weekend, including a hometown gig at Space 1720 in Los Angeles on Saturday, followed by a performance at 924 Gilman in Berkeley on Sunday. Tickets are on sale now.
The new single, also marks the band’s first new music since their EP, ‘Reconing‘, which was released by Pure Noise Records in 2015. The band reunited back in 2018 for their first shows in years and are expected to release more music and announce additional touring this year.

Hey there! It’s that time of the month again where we ask artists which band/artist they have been craving to see live for the very first time. So for today, we have, Sophia Aslanides and her troupe, collectively known together as SEASON OF GHOSTS, all the way from Tokyo, Japan. Formed in 2013, they released their debut album, ‘The Human Paradox‘ right away in December, 2014. This was followed by their second album, ‘A Leap Of Faith‘, released in 2018 to the worldwide audience. What makes this band unique and not just another brick in the wall is that, the music that they produce is an amalgamation of several hues on the palette. You ask for it and they have it; right from, electronic elements, trance, heavy guitar riffing with a very cinematic and grand vibe to it. The songs are very inspirational and uplifting, a perfect combo to dish out for all genres of rock fans.
Riding high and massive on their success of the latest album, ‘Our Raw Heart‘, which in fact has featured on many top ten year end album list, YOB are ready to take on a North America tour to complete the album cycle. For a month long trek along North America, with Canadian heavy/thrash metaller veterans VOIVOD, and Belgian sludge rockers AMENRA, it does sound like a pretty promising tour.
