The Charm The Fury formed in Amsterdam in 2010 and solidified their metal sound with their first album ‘A Shade Of My Former Self’ in 2013. It was a few years later when the band truly turned heads as they were signed to Nuclear Blast Records and released ‘The Sick, Dumb & Happy’. The band tour the U.S. playing several festivals along the way including Carolina Rebellion, Welcome To Rockville, Northern Invasion and revived the Wall Of Death among fans and moshers wherever they took the stage. The band was led by charismatic lead vocalist Caroline Westendorp. Her vocals were far superior to other female fronted bands and the band often was compared to the might legends Pantera. Rhythm guitarist Mathijs Parent exited the band in 2016 followed by lead guitarist Rolf Perdok in 2017.  Once those founding members left the band they had been pretty quiet after finishing out their tour schedule. On November 20th the band made a statement on Facebook that the band is officially breaking up.

Guitarist Rolf from the Dutch metalcore band The Charm The Fury announced on the 22th of August that he is going to leave the band. But there is hope because he will be the back up guitarist for the band and he will also remain a musician and continue to spread his skills.

Almost every human on this planet has heard about metalcore band The Charm The Fury but for those that haven’t I will introduce you to them real quick. They are a metalcore act from Holland that consists of famous vocalist Caroline Westendorp, bassist Lucas Arnoldussen, drummer Mathijs Tieken, guitarists Rolf Perdok and Martijn Slegtenhorst. The Charm The Fury is a metalband from Amsterdam, The Netherlands that doesn’t fit in 1 genre and that’s exactly why I like them as a band. They have melodic riffs with clean vocals as well as growling. This shows what Caroline Westendorp as a vocalist is capable of. They consist of 5 people. Vocalist Caroline Westendorp, bassist Lucas Arnoldussen, drummer Mathijs Tieken, guitarist Rolf Perdok and Martijn Slegtenhorst. It all started with their EP ‘The Social Meltdown’,This EP didn’t get by unnoticed, right after this EP they debuted with their first album called ‘A Shade Of My Former Self’. After this they played live on a lot of big festivals like Graspop, Download, Fortarock, Lowlands. They even played with Slipknot and Papa Roach, if this doesn’t get you hyped then I don’t know what will.
