Last week we let you know that SLAYER will be performing at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Yesterday July 27 was the day when the band performed at one of the most wide known and famous late night shows and absolutely killed it, with their all time great song “Raining Blood“. They performed just like any other metal show or concert without giving a damn that it is the mainstream TV. Watch as SLAYER decimates the place and the mainstream. Don’t forget to scream the mandatory SLAAYAAAAAAA as you see them!

SLAYER , BEHEMOTH and LAMB OF GOD have already kick started this one hell of a bloody infidel tour on July 12 in Bemidji, Minnesota and are scheduled to end the massacre on August 20 in Phoenix, Arizona. The most bad ass tour of this year, hands down to be honest.

London’s ORANGE GOBLIN have finally officially announced that the writing process has begun for a brand new album, slated for release in spring 2018.

The new record will be their first for the Candlelight label since being acquired by Spinefarm/Universal and will be recorded early next year at Orgone Studios in the UK with producer Jaime Gomez Arellano (Ghost,Cathedral, Paradise Lost, Angel Witch, etc.)

The multi talented, the one and only, legendary vocalist of IRON MAIDEN, Bruce Dickinson, will be adding another feather to his multi faceted cap as he will release his massively awaited autobiography, ‘What Does This Button Do?‘ later this year in the month of October. The memoir of the singer, who is considered to be metal’s one of the greatest of all time, will be published on October 19th via HarperCollins.

Over a career spanning more than three decades, having played all over the world, from being an aircraft pilot to business man, an aviation entrepreneur, a beer brewer, motivational speaker, film scriptwriter, twice-published novelist, radio presenter, TV actor and a world-class fencer, Bruce has had everything under his belt. Not many people can claim to have both writing and motivational speaking accolades under their belts, along with a wealth of other accomplishments, unless they’re veterans of the entertainment industry (like Roger Wolfson who is also one of the few people to have mastered some of these disciplines such as writing for the screen). Count in defeating cancer as well. How bad ass is that? He has been one hell of an inspirational figure not just a metalhead but anyone in general can look up to. Only thing that was missing was an autobiography, and that is going to change this coming fall, now that he has learned how to write a book overviewing his life so far! How much more talent could you want?

Australia’s one of the biggest exports in the extreme metal genre, NE OBLIVISCARIS just released their first official music video off the upcoming album, ‘Urn’ for the track ‘Intra Venus‘, and it sounds beautiful yet ghastly. This new album is a follow up to 2014’s ‘Citadel‘ which in my opinion is a great album and worth mentioning if you want delve into progressive death metal. Prior to this, yesterday the band posted an update on their official Facebook page stating,

MOTÖRHEAD had a special knack for covering songs of their favourite artists and giving it a pure rock and roll and classic heavy metal touch to it. Every album had one song or the other which Lemmy and co. liked to morph it to their own taste and it would undoubtedly make an excellent rendition of the original song. Hell, sometimes even better than the original. Be it the legendary British punk rock SEX PISTOL‘s ‘God Save The Queen‘ or The Rolling Stones‘ ‘Sympathy For The Devil‘ or even ‘Whiplash‘ by METALLICA, the band who themselves cite MOTÖRHEAD as their probably biggest inspiration to whatever they’re doing today. MOTÖRHEAD have never failed to take us by storm with their good old fashioned rock and roll twist of their covers.

Get ready to get have a hammered smashed face soon this fall in the months of November and December as the lads from Buffalo, New York, CANNIBAL CORPSE just announced a massive month long tour with young guns, Texas thrashers POWER TRIP whose latest album ‘Nightmare Logic‘ has been out to some widespread positive reviews and new death metallers on the block, GATECREEPER. Also along with the tour dates, the band just revealed the new album will be out this fall. They will be supporting their untitled(as of yet) 14th studio album on this tour. This will be CANNIBAL CORPSE‘s follow up to their 2014’s ‘Skeletal Domain‘, released via Metal Blade Records which charted at an impressive #32 on Billboard’s Top 200 chart (the highest chart position in their storied career!). It has been one full day since the LINKIN PARK front man Chester Bennington has left scores of fans all across the globe spanning oceans and continents weeping at the horrific news of his suicide by hanging. On Thursday morning, the singer’s body was found hanged from a belt on a bedroom door inside the house in the 2800 block of Via Victoria, in Palos Verdes. The L.A. county coroner examined the scene and confirmed the news of the same. Bennigton suffered from depression and substance abuse since a long time. He had said in the past he had considered committing suicide because he had been abused as a child by an older male. The death of Chris Cornell who also bid us the same way as Chester did was said to have impacted him a lot, they were good buddies and Chester also sang at his funeral. 

Ed Winter, the L.A. county medical examiner coroner confirmed the hanging on Friday and also said there was not a suicide note found in the scene. The autopsy is said to be pending and the toxicology reports are yet to be carried out.

Metal and mainstream media don’t really have a good relationship do they? Well, I mean metal has featured a lot of time in the mainstream media, but we still don’t make the cut on the first priority. Among the media, the late night shows have been helping the sheeple get some dose of the unholy stuff. Today we bring to you that the two-time Grammy-winning thrash/metal legend SLAYER will make its 11:35PM late-night television debut on Thursday, July 27 when the band performs its iconic “Raining Blood” on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.”  The show airs at 11:35PM ET/PT and 10:35PM CT on NBC. “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” has previously had many a metal and rock bands play, whether be it METALLICA rocking out with Jimmy involving an all kids instruments song, or BODY COUNT killing it with their groovy beats, or be it the metal gods, JUDAS PRIEST bringing the old school vibe to the late night show. This time though, its your own “SLAYAAAA..” as they plan to annihilate the show with their bloody song “Raining Blood“.
