QUIET RIOT Release First Single From “Road Rage” Feat. New Vocalist James Durbin

Veteran and legendary heavy metal act QUIET RIOT has released a new song, “Freak Flag” from their upcoming new album “Road Rage“, soon to be out on August 4, 2017 via Frontiers Music Srl. This is the first ever track featuring the new vocalist James Durbin, who also happens to be from the 2011 season of American Idol who made news singing hits like “Living After Midnight” and “Breaking The Law” of JUDAS PRIEST. The record was originally meant to be out by spring 2017 and to be sung by former short lived singer Seann Nicols, but after his exit QUIET RIOT decided to re-record with the newly formed line up. BLIND GUARDIAN Release Live Music Video For ‘Prophecies’

BLIND GUARDIAN recently announced that they are going to release a live album entitled, ‘Live Beyond The Spheres‘ after just two years of releasing their last studio album, ‘Beyond The Red Mirror’ in 2015. The live album will actually be a compilation of their best tracks into one show taken from 40 different concerts recorded during their European Tour in 2015, which surprisingly also happens to be the first BLIND GUARDIAN live album in almost 15 years. It promises to be an exhilarating indulgence in what could possibly turn out to be one of the best power metal live albums. The live album will contain 22 tracks, encompassing timeless hits like ‘The Bard’s Song (In The Forest)‘, ‘Valhalla‘ and ‘Mirror Mirror‘, to rather rarely performed songs like ‘And There Was Silence’. The new album is one hell of a sonic demolition and DYING FETUS are on top of their game as of now. Previously, we reviewed the new album ‘Wrong One To Fuck With‘, and if you are a fan and planning to buy one copy of it then you should go ahead and read the review here, to get a mild idea what the big picture looks like. Trey‘s drumming has been at an all time highest in this record just like any other Fetus record since he joined, we all know how punishing he can be on the kit. What a sick tour this looks like! All three thrash metal giants having started way back in the 1980s and still going undeterred to this day now come together for a killer European tour later this year. This tour is going to feature TESTAMENT as the headliner as they keep on going ahead on their tour cycle supporting their latest album,’Brotherhood Of The Snake‘, which saw a successful release last year in October. Receiving top notch reviews and faring well in the charts of many countries, TESTAMENT look forward to spreading the brotherhood wide across Europe with fellow thrashers ANNIHILATOR and DEATH ANGEL. Canadian thrashers ANNIHILATOR last released their record back in 2015, ‘Suicide Society‘ but they have been in the studio lately and are planning to release their new album this year later in October as per frontman Jeff Waters. DEATH ANGEL will also be supporting their new album, ‘The Evil Divide‘ which was out last year itself too. So get those battle jackets ready and get ready to thrash out to this epic tour. Review: DYING FETUS – ‘Wrong One To Fuck With’ [Official Music Videos]

There are just death metal bands and there’s DYING FETUS. I still vividly remember listening to DYING FETUS‘s, ‘Killing On Adrenaline‘ for the first time years later, listening on streaming platforms like Mozaart, they have the best songs by the way, after it came out and without missing a beat in utter awe. I went, “How on earth can someone pull that shit off!?“. Fast forward to 2017, after 19 years and six more impaling records , I have failed to stumble upon any satisfactory answers to satiate my thirst. I guess it should be left that way and let music speak for itself. Hailing from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, DYING FETUS has been a constant reckoning brute force ripping out guts and entrails of the listener since 1991. Five years after, ‘Reign Supreme‘, here we are ready for DYING FETUS to dismember our guts into a putrefying pool of gore, as they disgorge yet another sadistic album, ‘Wrong One To Fuck With‘.

DEATH ANGEL are Bay Area’s one of the most well known thrash metal bands of all time who has had an illustrious career spanning well over 30 odd years and having belted out some of the all time thrash metal classics like their debut ‘The Ultraviolence‘ which just breathes pure unadulterated speed/thrash metal. Their recent album was last year’s ‘The Evil Divide‘, which in my humble opinion is one of their best works till date. It is raw, gritty and thrash to the core, the way it’s meant to be. It has been just a wee bit over a year since ‘The Ultraviolence‘ came out in May 26th, 2016, via record label, Nuclear Blast. On this day, the thrashers release a lyric video for their song, ‘Breakaway‘ from their latest offering, that is, ‘The Evil Divide‘, a great track no doubt!

DEATH ANGEL have been very busy touring in support of their new album, voyaging across countries and continents, also featuring on specials like ‘70000 Tonnes of Metal’. They are also gonna be there playing at ‘Metal Maya’ which is a heavy metal dest-fest, a very appealing and innovative concept of a all metal holiday destination. Often cited as the pioneers of the death doom genre, English group PARADISE LOST from Halifax, West Yorkshire started out way back in 1988 and are still going strong without a hiccup in its way. 14 albums down the pipeline, with their recent one, ‘The Plague Within‘ coming out two years ago, the doom lords are back in action as they announce the release date and the beautiful album cover for their 15th full length upcoming studio album ‘Medusa‘. The new album will see the light of the day on September 1st via Nuclear Blast Records, the album being already described as “melding crushing doom metal with Nick Holmes’ harsh death growls and raw organic sounds, heralding a new era of pure Northern misery.”, arguably the heaviest record in the past 15 years.  Continue reading →

Brisbane death metallers/deathcore stalwarts AVERSIONS CROWN have announced a massive month long European headlining tour this coming summer starting from the 27th day of July in Tolmin, Slovenia at one of the biggest European metal festivals, MetalDays. AVERSIONS CROWN formed back in 2010 has released three albums till date with their debut surfacing on 2011 entitled, ‘Servitude‘ which was an independent release. Their latest offering came earlier this year in the form of ‘Xenocide‘ after their second installment, ‘Tyrant‘ under the label Nuclear Blast Records. Robing in new vocalist Mark Poida, the band has remained undeterred in the line up change and are constantly trying to up their game. Playing a blend of death metal and deathcore, they have been a huge name in the circuit off late with their alien themed lyrical approach and concept. So much so that they have been labelled as Alien metallers.

North American PAIN and ORPHANED LAND fans, it is time to rejoice! PAIN is a Swedish heavy/industrial metal band lead by the one and only talented Peter Tägtgren, who is a multi instrumentalist and leads Hypocrisy, a death metal band and has also joined forces with Till Lindemann from Rammstein in a side project named Lindemann. ORPHANED LAND from Israel combines heavy metal with oriental music keeping intact their indigenous middle eastern musical elements which adds an exotic twist to it. So, these two excellent bands are ready for a North American tour spanning over a fortnight as they break their virginity of touring on this side of the world for the very first time. Starting the maiden tour off in Atlanta and across 12 more cities with the tour coming to an end in the Hollywood city of Los Angeles, CA, it only is left to witness it unfold how exciting this tour turns out to be.
