Some sad news for fans of Bay Area progressive death metal outfit, FALLUJAH, as vocalist Alex Hofmann, one of the founding members of the band, and also the vocalist who has been through thick and thins with the band since its inception in 2007 has called it quits and pulled the curtains on his career as the frontman for the band.
‘Baphomet‘ is the new unholy lyric video song released by the harrowing and blasphemous Austrian blackened death metal outfit, BELPHEGOR, off the upcoming, highly-anticipated eleventh BELPHEGOR record entitled ‘Totenritual‘, which will be released on 15th September, worldwide via Nuclear Blast Records. It has been three years since their last studio effort, ‘Conjuring The Dead‘ and they are finally bringing the apocalypse back with their eleventh album in line, which has been mixed by Jason Suecof and mastered by Mark Lewis at Audiohammer Studios, Florida. ‘Totenritual‘ was recorded at Stage One Studios, Germany and Studio Mischmaschine, Austria.
Australian death core legends Thy Art Is Murder released the first part of a trailer for their upcoming album ‘Dear Desolation’ on the 14th of July, their full album will get out on the 18th of August via their record label Nuclear Blast. It is scary and it even has some references in it as well, check it out!
Decapitated has been reigning since the year 2000, that year they also released their first full-length album ‘Winds Of Creation’. But, 1 album wasn’t enough for them so the album ‘The First Damned’ came to claim its righteous spot. After that they have released 4 beautifully dark albums, ‘Nihility’, ‘The Negation’, ‘Organic Hallucinosis’ and last but certainy not least ‘Carnival is Forever’, this album created a spot on the record label Nuclear Blast for these guys. The 2014 album ‘Blood Mantra’ is for sure one of my favorite releases from that year, this album marked their sound’s turn around. Roughly 3 years later they came back with another crazy fast album ‘Anticult’. It got out today, on the 7th of July. If you love their old sound combined with fast riffs then this is the album for you!
Venom Inc is not to be confused with the original black metal band Venom. Former Venom members have in fact created the band Venom Inc, former drummer Abaddon is in it next to vocalist/bassist The Demolition Man and guitarist Mantas. It is really cool that they created a new band, so great that they are still making music! They reunited in 2015 where they played at the Keep It True Festival, they raised from hell to play once again some heavy music for us. They will release their debut album ‘Avé’ on the 11th of August this year via Nuclear Blast which they signed to just 2 weeks ago. We are in for a hell of a ride!

Today, the band releases their first album trailer, which was filmed at the recent ACCEPT media day in Hamburg on June 13th. A press conference took place on the day featuring Wolf Hoffmann and Holger Hübner, the WACKEN Festival organiser, both looking ahead to ACCEPT’s exclusive upcoming Wacken performance. Today ACCEPT premiere their first official video from the upcoming album, the title track, ‘The Rise Of Chaos‘. Shot in Nashville‘s famous rehearsal centre Soundcheck, the video consists of 81,127 still images that were later transformed into video sequences.
BLIND GUARDIAN recently announced that they are going to release a live album entitled, ‘Live Beyond The Spheres‘ after just two years of releasing their last studio album, ‘Beyond The Red Mirror’ in 2015. The live album will actually be a compilation of their best tracks into one show taken from 40 different concerts recorded during their European Tour in 2015, which surprisingly also happens to be the first BLIND GUARDIAN live album in almost 15 years. It promises to be an exhilarating indulgence in what could possibly turn out to be one of the best power metal live albums. The live album will contain 22 tracks, encompassing timeless hits like ‘The Bard’s Song (In The Forest)‘, ‘Valhalla‘ and ‘Mirror Mirror‘, to rather rarely performed songs like ‘And There Was Silence’. The record will be purchasable as a 3CD-digipak as well as a 4LP-box-set.
Stockholm based Swedish heavy metal/stoner metal trio GRAND MAGUS will be out touring in support of their latest album, ‘Sword Songs‘ which was just released over a year ago via Nuclear Blast on the May 13th, 2016. Taking the classic heavy metal sound and throwing in some doom/stoner metal and power metal, GRAND MAGUS has been doing pretty good, as it is evident on their latest studio album. It has been received well by the critics and also saw it feature on many year end list for best albums last year. The band have been touring ever since they let their album out of the barn. They let the audience have the first glimpse of their new songs live when they joined forces with AMON AMARTH and TESTAMENT on the fomer’s ‘Jomsviking European Tour’ which was one hell of an extensive touring they went through last winter in Europe. Polish death metallers DECAPITATED are very well known in the death metal circuit and have raised hell where ever they have set their blasphemous foots on. With the seventh album, ‘Anticult‘ lurking just around the corner, to be released on Nuclear Blast Records on July 7th this year, the heavy weights have released yet another follow up official music video to ‘Never‘, from their upcoming album, which is ‘Earth Scar‘. With the release of their last record just over three years ago, ‘Blood Mantra‘, which was an intense hit, it is evident that DECAPITATED are on top of their game now.
