After six years the mighty Pig Destroyer are back with their sixth release Head Cage. Named after a medieval torture device, this album will be brutal skull-splitting grindcore. With the announcement of the new album comes the first single, “Army of Cops”. The video was directed by David Brodsky with Richard Johnson (Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Enemy Soil, Drugs of Faith) on guest vocals. After the amicable departure of Gaz Jennings (Cathedral, Death Penalty, Septic Tank) in 2016, the future of Lucifer was up in the air. Determined to keep the Lucifer rising, vocalist Johanna Sadonis found a new songwriting partner in Nicke Andersson (Exhumed, Imperial State Electric, The Hellacopters). Through Nicke’s musical background in death metal and pop driven rock and roll, these two fans of 70s heavy rock could find common ground. While this sophomore release Lucifer II is still the Lucifer you know and love, there is a fresh energy in these new songs.

2018 for Boston, MA extreme death metal quartet REVOCATION is just getting better every day and so is for the fans. A few days ago the band announced that they will be releasing their follow up to 2016’s album and it is titled, ‘The Outer Ones‘. The upcoming offering will be made public on the September 28th via Metal Blade Records. To get the party already started the band will embark itself on a month long tour of North America starting this September 17th and run through October 20th. The support bands are equally ruthless. EXHUMED, RIVERS OF NIHIL and YAUTJA will be supporting REVOCATION on what happens to be their first North American headlining tour in several years. See confirmed dates below.

California extreme metal veterans EXHUMED formed in 1990, went on hiatus in 2005, and reformed in 2010. Since their reformation they have release two albums ‘All Guts, No Glory’ (2011) and ‘Necrocracy’ (2013). The band has now entered the studio to record their  sixth studio album and follow-up to 2013’s ‘Necrocracy’. Four years of waiting has certainly made this album one of the most highly anticipated albums releases of 2017. And for fans they can relax that the wait is almost over. The album will be entitled ‘Death Revenge’ and will see a late 2017 release via Relapse Records.
