After six years the mighty Pig Destroyer are back with their sixth release Head Cage. Named after a medieval torture device, this album will be brutal skull-splitting grindcore. With the announcement of the new album comes the first single, “Army of Cops”. The video was directed by David Brodsky with Richard Johnson (Agoraphobic Nosebleed, Enemy Soil, Drugs of Faith) on guest vocals. This beautiful specimen of extreme metal is perfect for this combative political climate.

Head Cage was recorded by guitarist Scott Hull at Visceral Sound Studios, mixed and mastered by Will Putney (Exhumed, Every Time I Die, Body Count). The macabre album artwork was done by Mark McCoy (Full Of Hell, Nothing). The album features guest vocals from Richard Johnson and Kat Katz of Agoraphobic Nosebleed and Dylan Walker of Full Of Hell. Coming in at 33 minutes, the album is expected to be a brutal masterpiece. With addition of a bass player, the sound is immersive. Head Cage is due out on Relapse Records September 7th on digital and physical release. The album is available for preorder here here. To follow Pig Destroyer check out their Facebook and Bandcamp.
