Another year might have come to an end but the music from 2019 will continue on forever. Even though the year has seen many great records it is finally time for me to pick my own top 10, with some additional special albums that made my year just a touch better, and share those with you good people. So with that being said dig in and have a wonderful 2020!
After giving us a very promising glimpse of ‘Alien’ with the release of ”Bloodline” Northlane made sure every doubter would be proven wrong and after ”Talking Heads” got released today I am certain that this record is going to be remembered!
After having released their 4th full album ‘Mesmer’ in 2017 Northlane are back with another beauty to add to your core collection and this time it is called ‘Alien’! Besides having announced their upcoming record they also gave us our first glimpse of the album with ”Bloodline”. And if that wasn’t enough already Northlane just announced a proper tour as well with supporting bands that will make you instantly buy a ticket for yourself!
Metalcore is a genre that continues to reinvent itself. Though it may seem like another lifetime since the mid-2000’s, new ideas infiltrate, artists reinvent and arguably somehow create these intricate subgenres of subgenres. Sub-subgenres? Progressive metalcore has been on the up and up since. Exquisite musicianship and sophisticated songwriting allow these tremendous new acts to standout in a crowd where everything is tucked under one umbrella. Continue reading
Northlane
Well, here it is again – the Never Say Die! Tour. it’s a metalcore festival which tours European cities every autumn. It’s officially named ‘Impericon NSD,’ after the retail store Impericon who also organize another tour called Impericon Festival every spring. The NSD tour started in 2008 and since then have seen the likes of Parkway Drive, Unearth, Architecs, Protest the Hero, and many others. And this year’s tour with Northlane headlining is set to be a beauty. Continue reading
