Comments Off on AEROSMITH Cancels Tour Dates As Steven Tyler Seeks Immediate Medical Help
Legendary vocalist Steven Tyler is undergoing “immediate medical attention” due to some “unexpected medical issues”. And that has forced the entire band AEROSMITH to cancel the remaining last four tour dates or shows of the ongoing “Aero-Vederci Baby!” tour that was announced some couple of months back. The singer has been told by doctors to put a hault on the touring and performing part until he gets fully fit and back in form.
Black Veil Brides just announced ”The Resurrection Tour” with co-headliner Asking Alexandria and special guest Crown The Empire, they will be hitting many US states as well as the UK, Germany and last but certainly not least Holland!
Comments Off on Live On The Lot 2017: Bowling Green Local Bands Festival [Photo Gallery]
PR Image by Brian Jarvis
September 14th started Tidball’s bi-annual Live on the Lot show. Tidball’s, a bar in downtown Bowling Green, Kentucky, has been hosting Live on the Lot since 2006, when it was originally named “Rock ‘n’ Roll Weekend.” There aren’t any sponsors for the show, but Tidball’s gave credit to their partners, Yellowberri, New Belgium Brewing, Ingen, Henderson Beverage, Papa John’s, Shoguns, and Pop’s Street Eats (who catered), for the event. The three day show acts as a small scale music festival for local bands to showcase their talents. Tidball’s picks out the bands that will get to perform, choosing a handful of local artists along with a couple of regional musicians. It’s great that Tidball’s offers newer bands the opportunity to get out there in something like a festival setting. On top of giving bands a place to start a fan-base, the show follows a week after Tidball’s hosted a show to raise money for victims of Hurricane Harvey. The second and third nights also included Alex’s Lemonade Stand, whose profits benefited a friend of John Tidball, who is fighting Leukemia. Everything Tidball’s offers to Bowling Green stands well with me. The first day’s show would feature one band, Morning Teleportation. Day two includes Aluxes, Menagerie, Floralorix, Peter the Freshman, Audiodacity, Waco Bell, and The Josephines. Finally, the last day would have Lazy Sunday, Plastic Friends, The Savage Radley, Dead Broke Barons, Black Bloods, Heron and Crane, and The Black Shades.
*This is a part of our State Of The Art series, showcasing bands every Monday from the featured state*
This month’s state is Alaska!
Hey metalheads of the pale blue dot! I am back with another State Of The Art write up this Monday to shoot some energy in you, so that you don’t have to whine about how this specific Monday is more boring than the previous one was. Anyways, let’s cut to the chase, and let me have the honor of presenting you one of the very promising bands from the extreme north of United States, battling the cold, dark and grim weather. Let’s give it up for MALSUMIS people! Hailing from the largest city in Alaska, Anchorage, MALSUMIS are a black metal band spawning from the misty, cold and bleak wintery landscapes of America’s Northern most state, just a year ago in 2016, and they successfully have garnered a lot of attention already, while still in its infancy. Mad props to them on that!
Comments Off on Album Review – WARFARING STRANGERS: ACID NIGHTMARES
Fifty years ago, the much-vaunted but short-lived Summer of Love burned out nearly as fast as it began, and the Sixties began its death march toward Cielo Drive and Altamont Speedway. Choked out by lethal doses of greed and drugs, groovy-baby, flower-in-your-hair psychedelia quickly gave way to bad trips and endless bummers, speed freaks and acid burnouts. The sounds of an era roiled by perpetual tumult and social upheaval transformed and mutated as well, into something harder-edged, more sinister; less It’s A Beautiful Day and Scott McKenzie, more Blue Cheer and Black Sabbath. And while Alice Cooper has claimed responsibility for his group “driving a stake through the heart of the Love Generation,” the bands represented on the Numero Group’s new compilation Acid Nightmares show that his namesake act were but one link in a worldwide network of accomplices, and that sonically speaking, the Hippie movement died a death of a thousand cuts.
Comments Off on Kings Of Strings: Chris Wiseman From Shadow Of Intent!
Shadow Of Intent is a symphonic death core band you may have heard of before, after the release of their first full album ‘Primordial’ people went crazy. It is melodic, symphonic, brutal and it is filled with riffs that will melt your face off. It is all you ever wanted but more. Prior to this masterpiece Shadow Of Intent came together to create the 2014 EP ‘Inferi Sententia’ which touches more on the black and death metal side of things. If this wasn’t enough awesomeness already prepare yourself because on the 28th of April this year the album ‘Reclaimer’ landed on planet Earth and it is even better than you could ever imagine. I was sure that nothing could ever beat ‘Primordial’ but they proved me wrong. They are so ahead of the game it is unbelievable, it is inhuman how fast a band can grow and mature in such a small amount of time. They truly are all artists worth showcasing but since this segment is all about guitar players, let’s start off with back up vocalist and most importantly guitarist Chris Wiseman!
Comments Off on EXODUS, OBITUARY Slay The Stage In Baltimore! [Photo Gallery]
Exodus
Here is a scenario, Baltimore city lay amidst ruins engulfed by flames and black smoke. As a raven flies over the city towards the inner harbor, it watches the fires and flames gradually intensify. The exact epicenter being 124 Market Place, the street address of Baltimore Soundstage. Surely this must have happened in one of the infinite alternate universes that exist. The cause behind this mayhem are two bands, Exodus and Obituary. On a balmy Saturday night, the two bands blew the lid off Baltimore Soundstage with the heaviest performance I have seen in a very long time. The tour titled “Battle of The Bays” is possibly the heaviest tour of the Fall, and I was not going to miss it. Continue reading →
