MOTIONLESS IN WHITE, EVERY TIME I DIE, Dominate Sold Out Show In Lexington [Review & Photo Gallery]

Motionless In White

It’s March in the Bluegrass which means everyone in the region has basketball on their minds. Although the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team is playing (which I listened to on the 2 hour drive north to Lexington) this day was about music. Not just any kind of music – Metal! Not just any normal volume – Very Loud!

This day was about Motionless In White’s Graveyard Shift Tour stopping in Lexington, Kentucky at Manchester Music Hall. On this stop they had Like Moths to Flames and Every Time I Die as support. One other band had been scheduled to appear Ice Nine Kills but their drummer was hospitalized due to sickness. Three bands instead of four still blew the roof off of Manchester Music Hall and brutalized the sold out crowd much to their enjoyment!

Like Moths To Flames

Columbus Ohio’s Like Moths To Flames took the stage first. They didn’t so much take the stage as they tore it down! A high energy aggressive 7 song set that started with “New Plagues” and “Nowhere Left To Sink”. Those songs are off of their recent release ‘Dark Divine’ and their set ended with “Bury Your Pain” from the 2015 release ‘The Dream Is Dead’. Outstanding choice to start off this night!

Every Time I Die

It was Every Time I Die’s turn to unleash on this rowdy sold out crowd! And unleash they did! The energy in the venue was amazing and Every Time I Die was feeding off that energy. They ripped through their almost hour long set with songs like “We’rewolf”, “Revival Mode” and “Map Change”. Closing out with “Fear and Trembling” from their latest release ‘Low Teens’. Every Time I Die didn’t disappoint and if it was possible after Like Moths To Flames set this crowd was more than ready for Motionless In White.

Manchester Music Hall was primed and ready for Motionless In White! The stage was set with skeletons hanging from mic stands, Jack-O-Lanterns, winged angel statues, roses hanging upside down from Chris Motionless’ mic stand and a lot of badass lights!

Motionless In White

Motionless In White kicked off their set with “Rats” and “Reincarnate”. This was Motionless In White first trip to Kentucky on a headlining tour, their previous stop was at 2016’s Louder Than Life Festival in Louisville, Kentucky. Chris Motionless asked the crowd why it took them so long to come to Kentucky, especially with the crowd that showed up! They launched into “Necessary Evil” and they placed just about came unglued! Photographing in the pit became a bit hazardous, trying to concentrate on the band and getting kicked from crowd surfers coming over the rail, it was great!

Ice Nine Kills singer Spencer Charnas joined Chris on stage for an amazing rendition of “Abigail” then straight into “A-M-E-R-I-C-A” with the crowd chanting USA at the end of the song. It would be hard for me to pick a favorite of the night but if I did it would probably be “Loud (F@@K It)” man that’s a killer song! They closed the night with “Devils Night” and came back with “Eternally Yours” as the encore. With that a killer night of music came to an end. I’d say it’s a good bet that Motionless In White will be back to Lexington! Manchester Music Hall it seems is the place to be in central Kentucky! The bands they’ve had recently and the ones scheduled to come are impressive! Check this venue out!
