REAPTER Release Lyric Video For “Useless”!

Italian thrash metal / prog metal band REAPTER released new lyric video for the song “Useless”! The song is from their recent album ‘Cymatics’ which was released on September, 23th 2016 via Revalve Records. The band was formed in 2005 and has toured along side acts such as Testament, Dark Funeral and Sadist. ‘Cymatics’ is the follow up to the bands critically acclaimed debut album ‘M.I.N.D.’ which was released in 2013. “Cymatics” is born from several factors: lyrics talk about the daily life in order to plunge the listener in a specific situation. Each song is a different situation with the individual focused on it. Furthermore, the band says “we wanted to use the 432Hz frequency on the instruments tuning, in order to produce a sound which can be found in nature.” The band not only combines elements of thrash and prog but you can also hear moments of classic heavy metal inspiration as well. REAPTER also tells captivating stories within their music, which you can see a great example of in their new lyric video below.

THEM EVILS Release Music Video For “Untold”

themevils

Orange County, California rockers Them Evils have released their official video for the song “Untold” which appears on their EP Them Evils released earlier this year. We were first acquainted with the band in October when saw them dominate the stage twice in one weekend. They were the sole act for the Louder Than Life Pre-Party in Louisville, Kentucky, and also the opening act on Sunday for the festival. Some of the footage included in the video is from their time spent at the festival both on and off the stage. Inspired by equal parts of rock giants like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, and Queens Of The Stone Age, among others, guitarist/vocalist Jordan Griffin, bassist Jake Massanari and drummer David Delaney pay tribute to their roots with every crushing note. Though you can hear their influences in their music they still have a truly unique sound. Them Evils is high energy rock n roll from the US of A. The video version of “Untold” is a remix done by Kato Khandwala (Blondie, Paramore, My Chemical Romance, The Pretty Reckless). The video was done by Ryan Ewing.  Continue reading

New Song And Video For “Glacial Tranquility” From The Arbitrary

thearbitrarygt

Remember my review of The Arbitrary from New Orleans, LA a few month’s back (The Arbitrary)?  This brilliantly talented pair of young men, Jeffery Fisher and Adam Sauter, have just released a new single and associated video for “Glacial Tranquility“.  These masters of progressive, instrumental Metal never cease to amaze!  Unbelievably complex harmonies and melodies, woven together to create an intricate and uplifting sound that manages to be both beautiful and extremely heavy at the same time.  Definitely shows a polish and maturity well beyond the years these two gentlemen have behind them!  With the bar set this high, I cannot wait to hear what they will have in store for us next!  Enjoy!
