Florida deathcore act BODYSNATCHER are preparing to thrill audiences around North America, as they have announced that they will be embarking on the ‘Death of Me‘ North American headlining tour this March. The month-long trek is set to kick off on March 2nd in Baton Rouge, LA, and it will conclude on March 27th in Ocala, FL. The tour will feature support from Extortionist (3/8-3/15) and So This Is Suffering (3/8-3/27).
Following an extremely successful North American tour supporting the mighty Obituary, DUST BOLT are now set to return Stateside in May. The band will again be supporting Obituary, but this time they will also be joined by Pallbearer and Skeletonwitch. The tour kicks off May 2nd in Atlanta, GA and runs through June 3rd in Miami, FL. ACT OF DEFIANCE are roughly three years old and they are already killing it with full length releases and major headlining tours all across the United States. And why not, when a band has the services of talents like Chris Broderick (ex-Megadeth), Shawn Drover (ex-Megadeth), Matt Bachand (Shadows Fall, Times Of Grace), and Henry Derek (Scar The Martyr). With their debut album having come out in 2015 titled, ‘Birth And The Burial‘, right after Shawn and Chris’ departure from Megadeth in 2014, the band is back again on the road. But this time around they will be out there promoting their all new album, ‘Old Scars, New Wounds‘, that released via Metal Blade Records in September of 2017. Following month, the quartet will be embarking on a headlining tour for three weeks starting on the 1st of March at Brick By Brick, San Diego, CA. The support band featuring on the bill are Shattered Sun, a metalcore act from Alice, Texas, who will also be touring in support of their latest album, ‘The Evolution of Anger‘. 21st July 2017 saw its release.
ZHORA‘s sophomore release ‘Ethos, Pathos, Logos‘ that came out last October, somehow went under our radar. Now that we have found about it, we’re gonna serve you with some hot and fresh new music video that just got off the grill. ZHORA has unveiled their new music video for “Riverchrist” off of their most recent album. The track is intense, the vocals doesn’t fail to grab you by your throat, the riffs just does justice to the genre sludge metal, it’s heavy and has a lot of fuzz going on in it. What is also interesting is the video is animated, something that reminds me of my childhood when I’d grab a popcorn bowl and be hooked on to Cartoon Network. But this one is like gore and un-tasteful for the 10 year old kid in me. Anyways, now that you’re into all things dark, who doesn’t like a bit of blood and repulsive stuff, eh!?
Very few artists create music that has the tremendous strength to form base for a movement, or I might say has the balls big enough to speak out and attack with their activism focused music. Similarly, groundbreaking art-rock performer, author and spoken word artist OTEP is always at the helm of revolution, social activism and lending a voice for the voiceless and fighting injustice. Clubbing themselves in with revolution inciting artists like Prophets of Rage, Woodie Guthrie, OTEP doesn’t shy away from yelling and making sure their voice is heard, no matter how controversial the topic is. They are currently recording at The Lair in Los Angeles, brewing their new upcoming studio album. She tries to give us a sneak peek about their to be eighth album. She says, that this is undoubtedly the band’s most authentic and honest attempt in creating an album. The as of now untitled, full length album is scheduled to hit stores later this year.
If you are reading this article and have no clue who GRETA VAN FLEET are as of yet, then sorry I will be blunt, you live under a rock! They are that band who can easily tape shut that rocker/metalhead’s mouth who always whines about how the good old days were the pinnacle of rock music. When one of rock’s greatest front man Robert Plant praises the band’s vocalist saying, “…He’s pretty good. There’s a job somewhere for him”, you know you’re in for something very stupendous. GRETA VAN FLEET are bringing back the retro vibe and they are going all guns blazing. Already being dubbed as the second Led Zeppelin, this young brigade has quickly built its way high up the music industry’s ladder, in no time. Wanna know how quick? They don’t even have a debut album to their name till date, although they are working on it now. But yeah, that quick!
Looks like 2018 is MASTODON‘s glory year! Having won the coveted Grammy Award for “Best Metal Performance”, it seems the band is having a lot of fun already. MASTODON fans are still reeling from the exuberance of the Grammy win, and they have one more reason to celebrate or look forward to. Especially the US fans. Well, MASTODON along with fellow rockers PRIMUS have joined forces for a massive 45 date United States tour, starting this summer on the May 6th, at Morrison, CO and extending up to Jul 7th, at Phoenix, AZ.

So, three years after the release of their debut EP and after some months of hard work but also tons of gigs along with bands such as Electric Mary and Bukowski, French heavy-rockers LUMBERJACKS are about to release their debut full-length album ‘Alone?‘ coming out on May 5th on CD & digital formats.
In the meantime, the quintet just pulled the curtains off on a brand new single called “Mystery Light“. The track and the entire album was recorded, mixed and mastered by Edgar Chevallier at Lower Tones Place Studio. So today we bring to you the single stream which you can find attached below.

STONE SOUR official Facebook page stated a few hours ago that, guitarist Josh Rand won’t be able to join the band for the Canada and United States tour, as he has checked into a treatment center. While reports right now are not sure of what exact type of addiction (if any) the guitarist is trying to overcome, but as per the official statement, it says that he “will be back as soon as possible“. Hoards of fans took to social media and wished Josh’s well being. Josh has contributed in every STONE SOUR album since the 2000s.
The Los Angeles rap metal outfit are having a great time of their career. Having released ‘Bloodlust‘ back in 31st March the previous year to a critical and worldwide acclaim, they continue to stir some controversial and blunt right opinions in the music industry. In its first week, it debuted at #3 in the UK Rock and Metal Chart. The track, “Black Hoodie” from the same album is up for their maiden Grammy nomination this year at the 60th annual Grammy Awards Show. Talking about Grammys, the LA collective will begin 2018 on a high note as they also get a chance to showcase their live performance at this year’s Grammys. BODY COUNT will perform live during the Grammy Awards Premiere Ceremony hosted by Paul Shaffer, which will take place at The Theater at Madison Square Garden on Sunday, January 28, 2018, from 3–6 p.m. ET and will be streamed live internationally via GRAMMY.com/live and CBS.com
