KALEN CHASE, whom you might have come across from his work with VIMIC and KORN has released a brand new track from his solo venture, titled, ‘Let Them Come‘. A departure from the hard rock and metal vocal style, this one brings on the board some really melodic, sing along clean vocals that I am sure the softer side of the metal fans would cling on to. Yes, today I bring to you an exclusive video premiere of the Indian underground band, WARMARSHAL‘s all new track “This Is War“. Hailing from down south, Hyderabad, the band is a trio and doesn’t shy away from planting that boot on your face, firm. Without much ado, let me introduce you WARMARSHAL, for those who might be unaware of them and think ‘where next to conquer‘, *wink* in your never ending search for uncharted territories.
War and metal have always been friends that have relied on each other and have proved to be the perfect amalgamation. The intensity, atrocious and the bestial nature of both death metal and war have never failed to amaze fans. Thus, being the reason why there are still a plethora of rising bands that chose to walk along the path that was paved already by the likes of legends such as BOLT THROWER, BESTIAL WARLUST etc. WARMARSHAL is no different as well. Combining elements of war, atrocity, politics and belting it with pure old school death metal intensity, they are adamant on establishing their name in the Indian metal scene.
Shoegazy doom outfit LOW FLYING HAWKS will release their new album, ‘Genkaku‘, on August 25th via Magnetic Eye Records.
Featuring drummer Dale Crover (THE MELVINS) and bassist Trevor Dunn (MR. BUNGLE) alongside songwriters and multi-instrumentalists EHA and AAL, ‘Genkaku‘ is the follow-up to LOW FLYING HAWKS‘ 2016 debut, ‘Kōfuku‘, a record lauded by many critics and all alike.
In July, we covered Alaska for our State of the Art series, where we discovered a little gem of a band called 3 Kisses and immediately got behind them just prior to their killer release of Angels Bleed Black. Primarily known as a fun, Punk/Alt-Hard Rock band, 3 Kisses has begun a slide into the heavier side of things with this, their latest release. Shortly after our review, we were contacted by this stellar group of musicians and offered a behind-the-scenes, exclusive listen to their upcoming, 2017 album for our thoughts. Damn! Just, freakin’ damn! All stops have been pulled out with this fiery album and is assuredly the most hard hitting and passionate albums to date (they now have nine, kick-ass releases since 2004, so these are big words)! With zero throw-aways, this album rolls the dice with a new direction and proves that 3 Kisses can do anything they damned well please and do it astoundingly well. When we were preparing our list of The Most Anticipated Albums of 2017, 3 Kisses simply had to be included based on what we had already heard and asked the band if we could include one of the tracks in our article, which they generously agreed to. So, without further ado, it is with great pleasure that we are able to premiere 3 Kisses “Dead Man’s Hand” off of their upcoming, 2017 album!
