Death metal legions, unite! This is gonna be one hell of a bad motherfucker of a tour. New York death metal giants IMMOLATION are pleased to announce “The Last Atonement Tour – North America 2019”. Joining them as direct support on their headlining run are Denver-based death metal merchants, BLOOD INCANTATION.
What a killer announcement this is! It looks like more of a Swedish invasion of North America, and it couldn’t have got any better when AMON AMARTH is at the helm of this viking ship. In this total viking onslaught, AMON AMARTH is joined by fellow Swedish big shots ARCH ENEMY, AT THE GATES and heavy metallers GRAND MAGUS. This fall, starting from September 26th to October 26th, the Swedish hell raisers will devastate America and Canada in a month long affair.
Well here we are finally and I say this reluctantly, who would have thought we’d live to see this? Back in March, Frank Mullen the legendary original vocalist of NY death metal pioneers, SUFFOCATION announced that he would be hanging up his boots as their full time member. In a video posted on his Facebook page then, he alongside with Victoria formerly of WWE fame can be seen talking and that’s when Frank says he will be seeking for “new beginnings” and pursue full time acting and a few other projects in the future. And now the time has come for Frank Mullen to actually say goodbye to the legions of death metal and SUFFOCATION fans all over the globe. But.. but, before he calls it a day, he and his band will be trekking all across North America for a final farewell tour, aptly named “Death Chopping North America – Farewell Frank Tour 2018” with sick support coming in from misanthropic gore grinders CATTLE DECAPITATION, Brazilian death metal legends KRISIUN, and Swedish tech-death sensations SOREPTION. All of this crazy stuff happening this upcoming October / November.
Vancouver, Canada heavy melodic metallers UNLEASH THE ARCHERS are returning to North America. The band will be out on the road supporting their latest effort entitled ‘Apex‘, that was released in summer of 2017 via Napalm Records. They have enlisted fellow Canadian rockers STRIKER to provide direct support and HELION PRIME will open the shows. The tour kicks off September 9th in Seattle, WA and runs through October 14th in Vancouver, BC. More dates are expected to be added soon, and a complete list of confirmed dates can be found below.
Heavy metal purveyors INCITE are thrilled to announce their upcoming North American “Burn & Shred” headline tour, featuring support from AETHERE (8/10-9/8) and LODY KONG (9/14-9/28). The two-leg tour will begin on August 10 in Austin, TX and visit several major North American cities, ending on September 28 in the band’s hometown of Phoenix, AZ. 2018 for Boston, MA extreme death metal quartet REVOCATION is just getting better every day and so is for the fans. A few days ago the band announced that they will be releasing their follow up to 2016’s album and it is titled, ‘The Outer Ones‘. The upcoming offering will be made public on the September 28th via Metal Blade Records. To get the party already started the band will embark itself on a month long tour of North America starting this September 17th and run through October 20th. The support bands are equally ruthless. EXHUMED, RIVERS OF NIHIL and YAUTJA will be supporting REVOCATION on what happens to be their first North American headlining tour in several years. See confirmed dates below.
With the new album release date just around corner and inching closer as days roll by, EXMORTUS have come up with yet another killer announcement. The neo-classical thrash metal outfit will celebrate the release of their upcoming record, ‘The Sound Of Steel‘ by following it up with a massive headlining tour of North America. This would also be the group’s maiden voyage as headliners, after having released three albums already in their short but illustrative career. So, EXMORTUS will hit the road this summer headlining ‘The Summer of Steel Tour!’ Featuring support from THE ABSENCE and HATCHET alongside IMMORTAL GUARDIAN, BLACK FAST and label mates MICAWBER on select shows; EXMORTUS will embark on tour dates beginning June 28th in San Diego. Last year, Bay Area thrash vets TRAUMA announced their long-awaited comeback and new member additions. In advance of finishing their upcoming third album, TRAUMA are set to hit the road on a brief headline tour beginning April 13 in Cool, CA. Additional east coast and mid-western dates have also been added.
TRAUMA was born in California’s Bay Area in 1980, a crucial year for metal music. It was within that fertile musical climate that TRAUMA developed a sound evoking the electric energy in the air around them. Donny Hillier consumed a steady diet of LED ZEPPELIN and BLACK SABBATH and shared a love of JUDAS PRIEST and IRON MAIDEN with original guitarist Mike Overton. And of course there was TRAUMA’s legendary early bassist, Cliff Burton.
ALICE IN CHAINS have announced dates for the second leg of their North American headline tour, which kicks off August 22 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, BC. The new dates are part of a worldwide trek that will see ALICE IN CHAINS performing across North America and Europe. Dates are listed below and ticket info can be found HERE.
ALICE IN CHAINS (vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell, drummer Sean Kinney, bassist Mike Inez and vocalist/guitarist William DuVall) are currently putting the finishing touches on the much-anticipated follow-up to 2013’s critically-acclaimed album, ‘The Devil Put Dinosaurs Here‘. That album entered Billboard’s Top 200 chart at No. 2 and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Alternative Albums Chart, Top Rock Albums Chart, Hard Rock Albums Chart and iTunes Rock Album Chart and its first two singles, “Stone” and “Hollow,” both hit No. 1 on the rock charts.
