EXCLUSIVE SINGLE PREMIERE: YouTube Sensation VIOLET ORLANDI Bursts Into Scene With New Album

Violet Orlandi

Brazil-based rock vocalist/instrumentalist VIOLET ORLANDI, has gained viral recognition with her precocious abilities and edgy renditions of heavy metal/grunge/dark/rock artists like NIRVANA, DISTURBED, NINE INCH NAILS, and more, garnering over 860k YouTube followers and 100 million views since beginning in 2016. Notably, her cover video of THE CRANBERRIESZombie‘ has received over 12 million views since it was uploaded back in 2018. She has been putting out new videos every Sunday, and most recently her take on “Ain’t No Sunshine,” featuring MELODICKA BROS, already has over 100k views since its release on March 7th. Now, Orlandi has written and recorded her original debut, ‘High Priest Daughter‘ (out 5/28/21), an intimate look at the most difficult times in the songwriter’s life.

She states, “High Priest Daughter was written over the darkest period of my life. I didn’t even know I was doing it but writing these songs definitely helped me exorcise some of the demons that were taking over my life at the time. I started writing the album a year before my mom passed away and finished it a year after her death. Even though the album doesn’t sound as depressing as it seems, it explores death and coming to terms with it, depression, trauma, and a healthy dose of nihilism.

The 26-year-old guitarist and singer, originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, has been singing since she could speak. Orlandi began taking singing and guitar lessons in her teens and fell in love with rock music. After a multitude of different bands and projects where she developed her identity as a singer-songwriter, and graduating high school, she went on to study abroad in London and lived there for 5 years, ultimately getting a degree in songwriting.

Stay tuned for more from Orlandi as she prepares to make a stamp on the rock world with ‘High Priest Daughter‘ and rises to the ranks of the artists who inspire her.

Meanwhile, check out her single ‘Kill Her‘, which is nothing short of special. With acoustic guitars setting the rhythm, the drums providing the stomp, and especially her towering and strong yet melodious voice, Violet manages to keep up the standard she has set for herself and also amongst the peers in the industry. It is a fresh new tune, a fresh new forthcoming album and an enigmatic artist that we all that we all need to keep an eye out for. We love the new tune, do you?

Exclusive: MASK OF JUDAS Release Video For “The Mesmerist”

Progressive Tech Metal band Mask Of Judas is based in Chichester in the United Kingdom. The band formed in 2010 and has quickly become a favorite to tech-metal fans both at home and abroad. The band released their debut EP ‘Axis’ in 2014, and followed that up with the release of their full length ‘The Mesmerist’ in May 2018. The band is comprised of Jo Challen on vocals, Sam Bell and Reece Fullwood on guitars, Jof Walsh behind the drums and George Bell laying down the thunder on bass. The way in which vocalist Jo Challen is able to switch back and forth with her harrowingly deep screams and moments later sing in her beautiful melodic tone is simply amazing. Combine her jaw dropping vocal abilities and the technical onslaught of the band and it really shows why Mask Of Judas stands apart from other bands not only in their genre but in metal as a whole. In the past the band has supported Tesseract, Veil of Maya, Periphery, Monuments, and various others over the years. Mask Of Judas also preformed at  Tech-Fest which is iconic for the genre and is now preparing for Radar Fest 2019 at Casino Nightclub, in Guildford, United Kingdom on August 2nd – 4th where the band will be performing along side Animals As Leaders, Monuments and others.

World Premiere Of 3 Kisses “Dead Man’s Hand”!

In July, we covered Alaska for our State of the Art series, where we discovered a little gem of a band called 3 Kisses and immediately got behind them just prior to their killer release of Angels Bleed Black.  Primarily known as a fun, Punk/Alt-Hard Rock band, 3 Kisses has begun a slide into the heavier side of things with this, their latest release.  Shortly after our review, we were contacted by this stellar group of musicians and offered a behind-the-scenes, exclusive listen to their upcoming, 2017 album for our thoughts.  Damn!  Just, freakin’ damn!  All stops have been pulled out with this fiery album and is assuredly the most hard hitting and passionate albums to date (they now have nine, kick-ass releases since 2004, so these are big words)!  With zero throw-aways, this album rolls the dice with a new direction and proves that 3 Kisses can do anything they damned well please and do it astoundingly well.  When we were preparing our list of The Most Anticipated Albums of 2017, 3 Kisses simply had to be included based on what we had already heard and asked the band if we could include one of the tracks in our article, which they generously agreed to.  So, without further ado, it is with great pleasure that we are able to premiere 3 Kisses “Dead Man’s Hand” off of their upcoming, 2017 album!  Enjoy and just wait until you hear the rest of this album!  H…O…L…Y… Cow!
