Midlands four-piece GO PRIMITIVE have released the brand new video for ‘A Different Person’ the explosive second single taken from their forthcoming debut album, ‘Choices, out February 23rd 2018.

The video sees our bewildered protagonist attending a seemingly standard job interview which descends into a surreal and chaotic adventure, as he is taunted by unwanted fantasies about the other potential candidates’ alter egos.

The track itself is an energised rock stomper layered with thunderous riffs and punchy beats entwined with melodic vocal lines and killer guitar solos. Fuelled with attitude, the band state, “’A Different Person’ is about someone showing their unfavourable true colours, shattering the belief of the kind of person you thought they were”.

Now, the nu metal teenage trio are ready to break huge on the scene as they prepare to unleash their all new music video, “My Chains“. HOGAN’S GOAT Release Video For ‘Annie Off The Rails’ [Song Stream]

Nashville based rock band Hogan’s Goat has released the Official Music Video for their single “Annie Off The Rails”. Originally premiered on Huffington Post, “Annie Off The Rails” is off of Hogan’s Goat’s self titled, debut album.

Hogan’s Goat tracks mud on your clean carpet. Located in Nashville, TN the band slithers in the swamps of Rock N’ Roll/Metal. A shotgun blast away from the big leagues, HG released their debut album in July of 2017. The band received 20+ reviews, all with high marks. With sites likening them to Guns N’ Roses, Mastodon, Red Fang, and Clutch, the band has the utensils necessary to stir the cauldron. Hogan’s Goat is bound to “usher in a new era of music.” [Kenny Larson, The Gauntlet]

State Of The Art: KUR

This month in State Of The Art we are going to Kentucky, and first up we have a heavy hitting Death Metal trio named KUR who make their lair in Lexington.  KUR is the depraved union of Apollyon – Drums, Mortimus Bile – Bass/Vocals, and Aciel – Guitar/Vocals.  I’m inclined to think this band is an extremely fresh face on the scene from what little information ive been able to gather on this brutal trinity of unholy monstrosities, which gives them all the more appealing. I happened to stumble upon them in a stroke of random chance just earlier today after I heard the track “Drowning The Kings Heir” which was released in anticipation of their upcoming EP with Hominine Records, to be released on New Year’s Eve of this year. KUR reminds me of some of the best Death Metal/Black Metal hybrids that hail from Europe.  They have slight raw feel to them, dark and heavy riffs complimented with hellish drumming and powerful guttural vocals, fusing the best parts of Death Metal and Black Metal for a satisfying listening experience. INTERVIEW: GOROD On Promoters, “We Learned New Ways How Shady Promoters Or Agents Act”

How about some technical death metal with a tinge of jazzy and funk influence? If this doesn’t entice your pleasures then I don’t know what will. GOROD is a tech death band hailing from Bordeaux, France formed back in 1997, but with a different name. The initial name with which the band started out was Gorgasm, and that soon changed to GOROD when they re-released their debut record ‘Neurotripsicks‘ under Willowtip Records(US) in 2005 with two new bonus tracks in it. The name change was primarily due to avoid confusion with another band of the same name back in Chicago, USA.

GOROD are one of the most technically proficient death metal bands out there and are the flag bearers of the extreme metal scene in France. The band’s music works on many levels and it truly showcases the incredible talent each member in the band possess. Their version of jazz oriented, progressive tech death has shot them to worldwide attention in the death metal community.Having played the Maryland Deathfest in the U.S., a couple of European runs over the years and six full lengths under their belt, GOROD isn’t shying away to make their filthy and heavy sound heard all across the globe.
