Skate punk legends CKY have released video for “Wiping Off the Dead” and announce upcoming tour. Directed by Dave Causa, this is the third video for the latest release The Phoenix. Drummer Jess Margera explains, “Our good friend Dave Causa filmed us rehearsing for our UK tour last summer and the end result was us making a badass music video. “It was filmed before we ever played a single show for the release of our album. Thank you, Dave, and thank you CKY alliance!       Slash ft. Miles Kennedy and the Conspirators have resurfaced with a new studio album and coming U.S tour. Entitled Living The Dream, the album is due out September 21 on Slash’s own label Snakepit Records in partnership with Roadrunner Records. This supergroup features the Grammy-award winning guitarist Slash of Guns n’ Roses fame with Myles Kennedy (vocals), Brent Fitz (drums), Todd Kerns (bass & vocals) and Frank Sidoris (guitar & vocals). The album will be available for preorder July 25.

For this 12-song album the group is working with producer Michael “Elvis” Baskette (Alter Bridge, Iggy Pop,Incubus) again. Their past two albums World On Fire and Apocalyptic Love earned worldwide praise, debuting on 12 different Top Ten charts and grabbing the #1 slot on U.S Rock Radio. Continue reading →

2018 for Boston, MA extreme death metal quartet REVOCATION is just getting better every day and so is for the fans. A few days ago the band announced that they will be releasing their follow up to 2016’s album and it is titled, ‘The Outer Ones‘. The upcoming offering will be made public on the September 28th via Metal Blade Records. To get the party already started the band will embark itself on a month long tour of North America starting this September 17th and run through October 20th. The support bands are equally ruthless. EXHUMED, RIVERS OF NIHIL and YAUTJA will be supporting REVOCATION on what happens to be their first North American headlining tour in several years. See confirmed dates below.

Atlanta, GA’s metal quartet CLOAK have announced new dates surrounding their tour supporting MAYHEM. CLOAK will kick off their tour on March 25 at Kentucky’s Blood of the Wolf Festival, and will perform across Baltimore, Columbus, and Waterford, NY before joining MAYHEM. ACT OF DEFIANCE are roughly three years old and they are already killing it with full length releases and major headlining tours all across the United States. And why not, when a band has the services of talents like Chris Broderick (ex-Megadeth), Shawn Drover (ex-Megadeth), Matt Bachand (Shadows Fall, Times Of Grace), and Henry Derek (Scar The Martyr). With their debut album having come out in 2015 titled, ‘Birth And The Burial‘, right after Shawn and Chris’ departure from Megadeth in 2014, the band is back again on the road. But this time around they will be out there promoting their all new album, ‘Old Scars, New Wounds‘, that released via Metal Blade Records in September of 2017. Following month, the quartet will be embarking on a headlining tour for three weeks starting on the 1st of March at Brick By Brick, San Diego, CA. The support band featuring on the bill are Shattered Sun, a metalcore act from Alice, Texas, who will also be touring in support of their latest album, ‘The Evolution of Anger‘. 21st July 2017 saw its release.

“This song is like a retrospective on broken relationships and the void that stays when people leave. To me it’s not the saying good-bye which is the greatest burden, it’s the never-ending silence, the rejection and the uncertainty. This song tributes the pain that’s left when beloved people disappear completely as if they’d have never crossed way.” – J.J. (vocals)

The song in question is “You Are The Scars” – the latest offering from Harakiri For The Sky’s highly anticipated 4th studio album ‘Arson’, out February 16th next year via AOP Records. The Austrian post-black duo’s 10+ minute epic metal-gaze masterpiece is powerfully emotive, dealing with the pain and confusion of broken relationships that can either drown us or make us stronger. This is beautifully encapsulated in Harakiri For The Sky’s signature symbiosis of breathtakingly atmospheric post-rock soundscapes and emotive black metal – the unlikely equilibrium that explores both the direst depths and fleetingly blissful extremes of the human psyche. Artistically directed, filmed and edited by Andreas J. Borsodi with calligraphy and creative consulting by Albert Hupeka, this is a one of the most touching and creative lyric videos that I have seen in recent times that is flooding with aural and visual meaning.
