EYEHATEGOD Announce ‘Left To Starve’ Summer Tour With NEGATIVE APPROACH, CRO-MAGS & More

New Orleans sludge metallers EYEHATEGOD are set to sail on a thirty nine date US mega tour next month. With front man Mike IX Williams‘ lengthiest tour since he last underwent a crucial life saving liver transplant previous year in the month of December, he has recovered well to the point where he can do what he does best. Joining EYEHATEGOD on ‘The Left To Starve’ summer tour are a plethora of bands like NEGATIVE APPROACH, CRO-MAGSCAPITALIST CASUALITIES, PHOBIA, PRIMITIVE MANANTISEENPIG DESTROYER, THE OBSESSED, and MOUNTAIN OF WIZARD on select dates! The mayhem takes off in Corpus Christi in Texas on the 1st of August and ends in Pensacola in Florida on the 13th of September, a month and a half long touring which promises to bring some killer live music to the fans!

Comments IX Williams, “This band, for better or worse, has endured a mind-numbing and brain-expanding thirty years of making some of the most criminally riff filled and abhorrent sounds ever heard on the planet earth. No middle ground; EYEHATEGOD is either wonderfully loved or instinctively hated. Predicting the future accidentally and preaching the end time message, see the band LIVE now before something else bad happens…

In related news, recently Rolling Stones magazine compiled their version of ‘100 Greatest Metal Albums Of All Time’ list and EYEHATEGOD fans would be delighted to know that the band’s classic 1993 album, ‘Take As Needed For Pain‘ earned itself the #92 spot on the prestigious magazine’s list. The bible for rock and metal music heaped praises on the album and said, “Standouts, such as ‘Blank’ and the title track hammer the listener with turbulent riffs before downshifting into heaving swing rhythms that drive home the band’s fluency in the funkier aspects of NOLA’s musical culture. ‘Sister Fucker (Pt. 1),’ meanwhile, marries vile imagery with hip-shaking boogie rock. The band found the perfect foil in engineer Robinson Mills, whose warm, no-frills tones complemented Williams’ acrid screech, the menacing swells of feedback on tracks like “30$ Bag” and unsettling police-scanner-inspired noise piece ‘Disturbance.’ While bands such as Crowbar and the Southern supergroup Down (which features EYEHATEGOD guitarist Jimmy Bower behind the drums) would also serve as able ambassadors for New Orleans metal, none of them would capture the city’s seedy rebel spirit quite as effectively as EYEHATEGOD did here.” Take a look at the list HERE and see if your favorite metal album could carve itself a spot on the list!

EYEHATEGOD‘s latest record, a self titled one, came out back three years ago via Housecore Records and continues to deafen and make fans go crazy. This album came out after a decade and a half gap long and the fans have taken a dib on it like a hungry Lion on its feast. They will be out on tour featuring new songs from the album, so go check them out on tour. Orders for ‘EyeHateGod‘ in North America can be placed via Housecore Records HERE. The band will be also be celebrating their thirtieth anniversary next year. Stay tuned on their Facebook page(link below) and their official website for special releases to be announced in the near future.

About Rattlehead

Hi, Rattlehead here. I'm from India, and I'm obsessed with metal of all sub-genres but mostly into thrash and death. I also love other genres, like jazz, funk, rock, some punk, a bit of blues, some country, but well, metal is where I feel at home. I'm always on the run discovering new music. Fanboying Megadeth since I was 13. Love to talk about metal, sports and a little bit of everything here and there. I also love dissing your god, I love food, seeing metal gigs, traveling and also a metal merch and record collector. I hope you like what I write and the music I suggest you. Please do share if you like. Cheers and stay heavy \m/
