Appearing on both the Rock on the Range and Carolina Rebellion festival’s roster this May are Southern California’s hottest up and coming rockers, Joyous Wolf. Since forming the band in 2014, they have been wowing audiences with their refreshing brand of bluesy, modern-style, classic hard rock sound and electrifying live performances. A huge part of that onstage electricity is powered by lead vocalist, Nick Reese who impressively channels his inner James Brown and Jim Morrison as he shakes and shimmies like a bonafide old soul frontman – ladies beware. Throw in some jumps, a flip, and a few splits that would make David Lee Roth stand up and take notice; a tremendous voice that are equal parts Eddie Vedder, Bob Seger, and Robert Plant; and you have one dynamically entertaining individual in Reese. The band recently signed with Roadrunner and has been on fire ever since, shocking fans and building their fan base by the droves from city to city.
We had the opportunity to speak with the always moving vocalist of Joyous Wolf; Nick Reese. Nick talks about the band performance that day, as he was unable to take things to new heights considering the lack of things to climb on the gold stage at Carolina Rebellion. We also talk about the bands previous performance as Las Rageous where the band was escorted off stage and out of the venue after Nick climbed to the top of the stage scaffolding. How he is going to do something special at Rock on the Range. He also talks about a bidding war going on for the band when they were signing a record deal. This is the hottest band on the road today, do not miss their set at Rock On The Range, 12:40pm Sunday, on the Bud Light Stage. You can hear watch the entire interview below.
