LETTERS FROM THE COLONY Launch Video For New Single “Galax” And It’s Prog!

LETTERS FROM THE COLONY are your newest prog kids on the block. Hailing from the small town of Borlänge, central Sweden the quintet is an amalgamation of young, artistic and exceptional musicians who are determined to channel their thoughts in a creative and at the same time, an extreme way. LETTERS FROM THE COLONY spawned back in 2010, and since the very first day of their existence they have been determined on bringing something new and virgin to the metal scene. Just adding the right amount of progressiveness, melded with extreme technical aspects the band now is ready to unleash their all new debut studio album, which is releasing tomorrow, out via Nuclear Blast. It’s a progressive extreme metal album, entitled, ‘Vignette‘.

In anticipation of their debut release the band has released a music video for their third single, “Galax“, which is an eight minute long progressive number with a couple of chuggy and extreme metal thrown in there. I’d say it sounds really good. Check out the video attached below!

Songwriter Sebastian Svalland states: “This is a song that has a bit of everything in the LETTERS FROM THE COLONY spectrum – enjoy!”

The band deliver highly complex songs full of unbound aggression and progressive structures in the vein of MESHUGGAH, OPETH or GOJIRA and also do not shy away from playing saxophone with a guitar or sampling the call of a deer into a track!

You can also stream or download the track HERE!

About Rattlehead

Hi, Rattlehead here. I'm from India, and I'm obsessed with metal of all sub-genres but mostly into thrash and death. I also love other genres, like jazz, funk, rock, some punk, a bit of blues, some country, but well, metal is where I feel at home. I'm always on the run discovering new music. Fanboying Megadeth since I was 13. Love to talk about metal, sports and a little bit of everything here and there. I also love dissing your god, I love food, seeing metal gigs, traveling and also a metal merch and record collector. I hope you like what I write and the music I suggest you. Please do share if you like. Cheers and stay heavy \m/
