Finally after all this while of tension and anxiety having faced by the metal community, especially fans of DECAPITATED, the band has issued an official statement on their behalf. Defending themselves against some serious gang-rape allegations they have been facing, the band issued a statement saying that, “we are not kidnappers, rapists, or criminals“, just over an hour or two ago on Facebook. This has disillusioned many of their loyal fans who are stunned that their idols could do something like this. Some statistics suggest one in five women have been raped or someone has attempted to rape them. This cannot go on and legal experts are making a stand against sexual abuse. Check out this website for more details on how a qualified lawyer can help you.
The band has been accused of an alleged gang rape assault on a woman in their tour bus, after the August 31 concert in Spokane, Washington. Read below for the statement,
“While we are not perfect human beings, we are not kidnappers, rapists, or criminals. As such, we strongly deny the allegations that have recently been brought against us.
We ask that everyone please reserve their judgement until a definitive outcome has been reached, as charges have yet to be pressed. Full testimony and evidence will be presented in due time, and we have faith in that process.
As there is uncertainty regarding a timeline for prospective proceedings and out of respect for fans and promoters, due to the severity of the claims, we have cancelled all planned touring.
All social media platforms have been temporarily disabled as they have been used as destinations for defamatory and malicious remarks. We would like to point out that the statements in the published police report were given prior to an arrest. At that point, no member of the band was aware of an active warrant being issued.”
The band reported that all the concert dates in the near future until further notification have been cancelled, including the ongoing tour with THY ART IS MURDER.
DECAPITATED have been held in LA County Jail since their arrest on September 8 and are awaiting to be extradited to Spokane, as each member of the band took turns in appearing before the judge in an LA court this Tuesday. It could take up to 30 days until the accused band members are extradited.
