PALLBEARER Announce September Tour Dates

Progressive doom metallers Pallbearer has announced a string off show dates that will occur in late September. This “mini-tour” will include performances at Heavy Mountain II Fest in Asheville, NC with Corrosion of Conformity, Torche, and Windhand, a show with Kayo Dot in Lexington, KY, and additional dates with Destroyer of Light. Recently, Pallbearer has partnered with Nuclear Blast to bring their upcoming record to a larger worldwide audience. The band has also released the single, “Atlantis” as part of Sub Pop Records’ “Sub Pop Singles Club”. Listen here

This four-piece Arkansas band first came onto the doom metal scene with their debut Sorrow and Extinction. Since then, they have received high praise for their other releases, Foundations of Burden and their latest Heartless. You can keep up to date with all things Pallbearer on their Instagram

SATAN’S SATYRS release second ‘THE LUCKY ONES’ single and announce Fall dates with WINDHAND

Business is damn sure picking up for Richmond, Virginia hesher riff-kings SATAN’S SATYRS. They’re gearing up for a North American tour with fellow Cavaliers WINDHAND that’ll take up most of October and November, and their sludgy, sleazy new album The Lucky Ones will see release October 19, courtesy of Bad Omen Records and RidingEasy. State Of The Art: Virginia – WINDHAND

This month’s State is Virginia!

Flashback to Fall 2015: I’m beginning to expand my musical horizons as a listener, discovering the real power behind Bandcamp… I stumble upon this album called, Grief’s Infernal Flower, a, then, bestseller on the website by a quintet from Richmond, Virginia dubbed Windhand. I saw Windhand’s third album sported some beautiful cover artwork, but it was the sound that I found within Grief’s Infernal Flower that made me admire this band the most. Featuring bludgeoning, thick guitar tones and soaring, ethereal vocals – Windhand has comprised some of the best elements of stoner and doom since their inception in 2008, to produce something so gracefully heavy.
