Stream Post-Hardcore Band VVOMEN’s Debut EP Early

California is known for punk rock/hardcore as well apart from the metal that oozes out normally. Today we bring to you an early stream or pre-release stream of Marysville poetic post hardcore band VVOMEN‘s debut EP, Moving On‘ , which is slated to come out tomorrow itself on Friday the 21st.

The Sacramento quartet recently released a music video for the EP’s first single “Cadence and Carousel” which you can check it out below, a lumbering punk song complete with giant papier-mache heads. Although the band draws comparisons to Touché Amoré and La Dispute, as well as veterans like At The Drive In and Jawbreaker, their quirky, easy-going vibe creates a distinct contrast with the emotionally intensive music.

Guitarist Kyle Handson says “We really love when people like our band, but we aren’t trying to get through to every single demographic with this album. We just want to keep being us and have as much fun as possible.

The earnest, speak/shouting style vocals on ‘Moving On are emotional, but not emo. The music is angular and lurching, but unabashedly melodic and catchy. It was produced/engineered by Pat Hills at Earth Tone Studios (Tera Melos, SHARKS) and is available for pre-order on Bandcamp.

About Rattlehead

Hi, Rattlehead here. I'm from India, and I'm obsessed with metal of all sub-genres but mostly into thrash and death. I also love other genres, like jazz, funk, rock, some punk, a bit of blues, some country, but well, metal is where I feel at home. I'm always on the run discovering new music. Fanboying Megadeth since I was 13. Love to talk about metal, sports and a little bit of everything here and there. I also love dissing your god, I love food, seeing metal gigs, traveling and also a metal merch and record collector. I hope you like what I write and the music I suggest you. Please do share if you like. Cheers and stay heavy \m/
