Finnish symphonic metal band, Nightwish release epic, cinematic trailer for ‘Decades,’ a painstakingly selected collection of twenty-two of the most quintessential Nightwish tracks recorded throughout the band’s history. Available on March 9th, 2018, on Nuclear Blast Records, ‘Decades’ is more than just a greatest hits album, but rather a musical journey through some of the key moments of discovery and evolution the band has experienced since their 1996 inception until today.
Keyboardist, Tuomas Holopainen, who personally handpicked the tracklist, comments, “If a person wanted to – who had never heard of Nightwish before – would like to get a glimpse of what this band is about and has been about for the past twenty years, he would get the perfect picture. That was like my philosophy in gathering those tracks.” After choosing all the tracks he felt were most suitable, Holopainen sent the list to the other band members and management who immediately responded with, “Perfect!”
