Ellefson-Soto Release New Video for “Shout”

by | Aug 6, 2025 | News

GRAMMY® Award-winning bassist David Ellefson (ex-Megadeth and host of The David Ellefson Show) and powerhouse vocalist Jeff Scott Soto are back with their second collaborative album, Unbreakable, set for release on August 15, 2025, via Rat Pak Records.

To build anticipation, the duo has just unleashed the music video for “Shout,” the album’s second single. The track is a full-throttle anthem, channeling their signature intensity with a performance video that showcases the raw chemistry and sonic muscle fans have come to expect.

Shout is another call to those who refuse to take smack from anyone and everyone,” says Soto. “It’s our war cry for the world we live in, because everyone’s got something worth standing up and shouting for.”

Ellefson adds, “In a world flooded with division, we wanted this track to be a unifying statement. We’re louder together, and that message runs through the entire record.”

Rounding out the Ellefson-Soto lineup are Italian shredder Andy Martongelli on guitar and Paolo Caridi on drums. Unbreakable features 11 blistering tracks and guest spots from Tim “Ripper” Owens (KK’s Priest) and Laura Guldemond (Burning Witches).

Recorded at Rogue Studios in Wembley, UK, and produced by Chris Collier (Mick Mars, Korn, Flat Black), Unbreakable blends classic metal roots with a modern edge, fusing riff-driven aggression, soaring vocals, and deeply personal songwriting.

“This album digs even deeper,” says Ellefson. “It’s heavier, more personal, and shaped by everything we’ve experienced on and off stage.” Soto echoes the sentiment: “It’s the sound of two lifetimes colliding…riffs, rage, and redemption.”

Ellefson concludes, “What I love most is the brotherhood you can hear in these songs. There’s an honesty and synergy that keeps our sound consistent while letting us explore new ground. As artists, that’s everything we could hope for.”

Unbreakable drops August 15.
