Modern progressive death metal master minds Black Crown Initiate have been robbed tonight while in St. Louis. The band had been touring in support of their new album ‘Selves We Cannot Forgive’. It has become all too common that bands that barely scrape by are having their gear and personal items stolen by heartless thieves. Unfortunately one of the things that was stolen was their passports; The tragedy couldn’t have happened at a worse time as the band is about to head out for a European tour in 3 weeks with Volumes, Veil of Maya and Born of Osiris. In addition to the passports $5,000 in cash they had earned on their most recent tour was also stolen along with their personal computers. The band used Facebook to announce the bad news.
To all of our dear friends, unfortunately were just robbed in St Louis Missouri. We were in a restaurant for 40 minutes and all of our belongings and money were stolen out of our van in a well lit parking lot. Priceless items were taken including laptops, passports, laminates and personal effects. Worst of all, five thousand dollars that we made on this tour is gone. We have to go to Europe in 3 weeks and need as much help as we can get.
We undoubtedly worked our selves to the bone on one of the best tours we’ve ever done, only to have it swept out from under us. Any single thing you can contribute helps us. All of our cash from the tour is completely gone. We’re working our way home out of our own pocket. Thank you in advance.

If anyone has any information on the robbery please let the band know. In the meantime Black Crown Initiate needs as much help as possible to attempt to recover from the loss. Dan Presland drummer for Ne Obliviscaris took the liberty of setting up a donation campaign for his friends in Black Crown Intitate. He had been touring along side them for the past month. The tour ended in Anaheim, California on 08/13. The campaign on generosity.com will directly help raise money so they can continue their upcoming tour and replace some of the items stolen. The band is still over 3,000 miles from home. Within the first 5 hours of the campaign they have already raised $4,286. If you can please help the band get back on their feet and continue to bring music to stages across the world.
