With just over a month of the sad demise of one of the 21st century’s greatest rocker, Chester Bennington, former vocalist of LINKIN PARK, tributes from fans, artists and celebrities around the world know no limit and are still coming in hordes expressing their grief and memory with the beloved man. Acknowledging the same, LINKIN PARK has tweeted a message out today(Aug. 22) stating their thankfulness to all fans worldwide for all the support and “tremendous outpouring of love, which has strengthened our spirit during this incredibly difficult time“.
The message was quoted by bassist Dave “Phoenix” Farrell and the rest of the band as they went ahead to mention that they are “working on a special public event in Los Angeles to honor Chester’s memory” and once it all works out, they will relay back the same and confirm all details as soon as possible.
Among numerous other public fan held events and the private funeral held soon following his death, this promises to stand out to be a public event for all fans and well wishers of Chester and the band alike. Thus, paving a way for the fans and the band to interact and come together in this moment of grief publicly for the first time since Chester’s death. If you are around LA, make sure to pay a homage and visit this public event commemorating Chester’s life.
LINKIN PARK has not performed a single show since Chester’s death and cancelled their American tour right after. While the band has maintained a low profile, they have still not hung their boots. The message further reflected on the future of LINKIN PARK as they assured that they are trying to “build the future of Linkin Park“, but it is still unclear as there has been no official statement regarding the same from the band.
