UK Trad Metal upstarts Tailgunner brought the New Wave of British Heavy Metal straight into 2023 with their debut record, Guns For Hire.

Now, 2+ years after the flashy Heavy Metal quintet opened for KK’s Priest and the late Paul Di’Anno and even earned the endorsement of KK Downing himself, Tailgunner, who are 100% inspired by the classic Iron Maiden track, are bringing their sophomore effort roaring towards unsuspecting listeners.

Midnight Blitz is a massive, blazing 80s Heavy Metal anthem, equal parts fast and fiery as it is catchy and just the right amount of polished. Full of harmonized vocals and dual guitar leads, this track will undoubtedly excite anyone who hears it for the full release of the Midnight Blitz album.

Notably, Midnight Blitz will be Tailgunner’s first album on Napalm Records when it releases on February 6th 2026. It will also be the first album to feature lead guitarist Rhea Thompson and drummer Eddie Mariotti playing with the band.
