MOTHICA Signs with SharpTone Records, Drops New Single “Evergreen Misery”

by | Nov 11, 2025 | News

SharpTone Records has officially welcomed dark alt-rock artist MOTHICA to its global roster. To celebrate the signing, Mothica has released a video for her new single “Evergreen Misery”, available to watch now.

“Writing ‘Evergreen Misery’ was a journey full of every twist and turn you could imagine,” Mothica shares. “I was a few months out of rehab and needed to release this simmering anger and deep melancholy I’d been numbing for so long. Getting swept up in the underbelly of the music industry took a huge toll on my mental health — but this song marks my way back to creating from a genuine place again.”

The single also signals a heavier new era for Mothica — dubbed “Rockica” by her fans — drawing influence from Nine Inch Nails, Sleep Token, Bad Omens, Wage War, Bring Me The Horizon, and Evanescence. Produced by Elliot Polokoff, “Evergreen Misery” fuses cinematic synths, distorted guitars, and emotional hooks in a sound that pushes deeper into metal-infused alt-rock territory.

“The SharpTone team really saw my vision — musically and visually,” Mothica says of her new label home. “This partnership feels like the next evolution of Mothica.”

Mothica has steadily built a devoted fanbase through her genre-bending mix of dark pop and heavy rock, with previous releases including Blue Hour (2020), Nocturnal (2022), and Kissing Death (2024). She’s collaborated with Polyphia, Scene Queen, and Papa Roach, and toured alongside Coheed & Cambria and Halestorm, racking up hundreds of millions of streams along the way.

Watch “Evergreen Misery” now and stay tuned for more from Mothica’s upcoming SharpTone debut.
