I remember when my jaws dropped in disbelief as my eyes stayed fixated on this band when I first came to know about the teenage sensation band, UNLOCKING THE TRUTH. I couldn’t believe the amazing feat and the ability of these mere teens who were already taking the metal and rock community by storm with their crisp and perfectly chiseled song performances. Now, the nu metal teenage trio are ready to break huge on the scene as they prepare to unleash their all new music video, “My Chains“. After years of media excitement, late-night TV appearances, and breakout sets at Coachella and Bonnaroo, the band’s debut album ‘Chaos‘ was finally released independently last year. The music video is off the very same album.
Trading along the fine line of metalcore/nu-metal and subtle melody, the track is a metal hybrid and the band perfectly captures their young but ripe musicianship on it. So if you think you got more mettle than these teenage kids, then I am afraid you might wanna recheck on your opinion, cause they are definitely kicking some good ass.
“We wanted the video to show that Unlocking The Truth has more to offer than just a good song,” says guitarist/vocalist Malcolm Brickhouse. “The video and song both push the envelope for ‘the norm’ in metal music. It’s fresh. It’s new. It’s MY CHAINS!“
The video was directed by JP Brasca and the track was co-produced by Brickhouse (and Kenta Yonesaka, Germano Studio NY), who says “The meaning of ‘My Chains’ will be different for everyone, but there’s a line in the song for everyone. Think about it. We all have chains in life. It could be somebody or something we use as a crutch to help us get through life and loosen those chains.“
“My Chains” is available on Spotify and iTunes.
Also, while you’re at it, our editor did a small and interesting interview when the lads played at last year’s Carolina Rebellion. You might want to check that out HERE!
