*This is part of our State Of The Art series, showcasing bands every Monday from the featured State*
This month’s State is South Carolina!
Okay, folks. My SOTA for this week is not for your average metal fan. Cheerleader Concubine are not for the faint of heart or those lacking a sense of humor. As a matter of fact, I have to say that if you are easily offended, then you should hit the back button on your browser. Right now. Go ahead. Do it. There are plenty of other articles to read on Metal Nexus that don’t contain such perverse and abhorrent deviltry. This is your last warning. Are we good??? Sure??? Alrighty then. On with the show.
DO YOU SEE THAT?!?!?! Still with us? Good. Now I’ve been around the block and back again, so this kind of stuff doesn’t even faze me anymore. But, in the interest of not pissing off someone, I’m going to the heavily edited route for most of CC’s material. For the uninitiated, CC is a goregrind band. Take the brutality of death metal turned up to 11, add a heaping spoonful of grindcore sentimentality, and think of the grossest shit you can. I am a fan of this genre, obviously, and I wanted to throw some out here for people who may be in the dark about it.
CC are a two man project that has a massive cross section of vocalists guest on their latest full length, Tentacle Induced Intestinal Displacement (rolls right off the tongue). It’s a bass heavy, nasty, rumbly, and caustic grind assault with varied vocals for each track. The intro for the album is a very tongue in cheek hip hop song that sets the tone for the album quite well. I couldn’t find much information about the band members themselves other than the names Rich-san and Devin-kun and that they refer to the music as “misogynist
You can find Cheerleader Concubine on Facebook.

Stay brutal.
