Danny Kiranos On Amigo The Devil Persona “It Felt Wrong To Attach My Personal Name To Emotions That Weren’t Mine”

Danny Kiranos aka Amigo The Devil is something of an anomaly, a performer who has been tagged as folk music, but has lyrics and themes you might find on a death metal record. One listen to 2018’s ‘Everything Is Fine’ and you’ll understand what separates Amigo from the rest.  Perhaps it’s his everyday looks, or his haunting melancholic music that has allowed him to open for Dropkick Murphys and getting on a lot of Danny Wimmer festivals, including this years Sonic Temple Festival and winning fans over the old fashioned way.  In an era of pomp and circumstance, it’s refreshing to see an artist who can captivate with just his voice and a guitar.

Danny Join co host Jon talk about writing lyrics under a persona versus attaching his name to the project. If he ever sees a time where he will release a solo record, being called “fat Dave Grohl” and hoping to get a photo with Dave at this years Sonic Temple Festival and more.
