Review: GRETA VAN FLEET – ‘Anthem Of The Peaceful Army’ [Select Tracks Streaming]

By now Greta Van Fleet should be a household name to anyone that even remotely listens to rock and metal. If the band has somehow not made it on your radar let us catch you up. Greta Van Fleet– which took its name from one of the close-knit community’s town elders – is a hard rocking quartet whose creative ambitions and achievements reach far beyond the ages of the four band members, not all of them old enough to have voted in last November’s election. The band includes brothers Josh (vocals), Jake (guitar) and Sam Kiszka (bass, keyboards) and best friend drummer Danny Wagner (Who I also must add is an accomplished golfer) – are dedicated to bringing real rock’n’roll back to the mainstream. The band delivers high-energy, sweaty, rock’n’roll loaded with attitude and bravado that exemplifies each band member’s killer musical chops and Josh’s simply jaw-dropping voice. Greta Van Fleet bring back a throwback kind of sound that most old school metal heads thought was gone forever. The band has been kicking down doors of venues all over the country and gracing stages at dives and renowned venues. Their four-song debut EP ‘Black Smoke Rising’ was released on April 21,  2017 then followed by another EP ‘From The Fires’ on November, 17th 2017. The group deftly straddles the line between timeless and future, sounding at once like many things you’ve heard before and also something you’ve never heard before. Some have even referred to the band as America’s next greatest rock band. The band doesn’t have an intense history or discography to tell you about as of right now. Greta Van Fleet is currently making their own history and you can be a part of the crowd when they take the stage in your area, if its not sold out. ‘Anthem Of The Peaceful Army’ releases October 19th, make sure you pick up a copy. Watch Trailer Of QUEEN Biopic ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Feat. Rami Malek As Freddie Mercury!

The much talked about Freddie Mercury and QUEEN biopic, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, yes the one starring Rami Malek as Freddie himself, has its trailer out today. November 2 will see the movie hitting the theaters on its release day as scores of rock & roll fans will throng to their nearest multiplex screens, to witness the legend’s story unfold to the masses for the very first time.

Freddie Mercury and of his band mates in QUEEN, from the time they formed in 1970 to their greatest live performances which includes the legendary Live Aid, the ups and downs in the band. The film written by Anthony McCarten, follows QUEEN as they produce hit after hit, topping the charts while constantly evolving their sound. Through disparate songs like “Killer Queen“, “Bohemian Rhapsody“, “We Are the Champions“, “We Will Rock You” and countless others, the band reaches unparalleled success and Freddie becomes one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet.

BLACK COFFEE’s “I Barely Know Her” Video Delivers 70’s Nostalgia To Your Ears!

This is something straight outta the 70s. From the big hair, the fashion and their hook driven retro sound  Black Coffee is putting a retro twist on modern rock. The music is definitely a throwback to rock and roll’s most formative years, it’s just that the production is much more cleaner and the sound is substantially more heavy. The band has a sound that makes you feel like you are blowing the dust off one of your favorite vinyls.

Black Coffee formed in early 2017 after drummer Tommy McCullough introduced singer/bassist, Ehab Omran, to guitarist Justin Young. Within the first few days, these artists began songwriting and the chemistry was overwhelmingly apparent. With the release of  Black Coffee’s debut album, ‘Take One’, on April 21st, the Columbus, Ohio rockers definitely possess the sound, style, confidence and work ethic that created legends in music in the previous few decades.

Album Review – RRRAGS [Album Stream]

Belgian/Dutch power trio RRRags came together a mere eight months ago, but the songs on their self-titled debut sound like the work of a band that’s been at this rock and roll game for years and years. The band’s musical telepathy is remarkably refined, and the songs are both well-crafted and catchy as all hell. They hit hard without ever plodding, emphasizing groove and atmosphere over sheer brute strength and mixing their upbeat stoner vibe with flashes of soul, funk, southern rock, and power pop. RRRags are obviously true believers and lifelong devotees, my friends, and they’ve conjured up a slab of classic rock for the here and now.
