Well here we are finally and I say this reluctantly, who would have thought we’d live to see this? Back in March, Frank Mullen the legendary original vocalist of NY death metal pioneers, SUFFOCATION announced that he would be hanging up his boots as their full time member. In a video posted on his Facebook page then, he alongside with Victoria formerly of WWE fame can be seen talking and that’s when Frank says he will be seeking for “new beginnings” and pursue full time acting and a few other projects in the future. And now the time has come for Frank Mullen to actually say goodbye to the legions of death metal and SUFFOCATION fans all over the globe. But.. but, before he calls it a day, he and his band will be trekking all across North America for a final farewell tour, aptly named “Death Chopping North America – Farewell Frank Tour 2018” with sick support coming in from misanthropic gore grinders CATTLE DECAPITATION, Brazilian death metal legends KRISIUN, and Swedish tech-death sensations SOREPTION. All of this crazy stuff happening this upcoming October / November.
Vancouver, Canada heavy melodic metallers UNLEASH THE ARCHERS are returning to North America. The band will be out on the road supporting their latest effort entitled ‘Apex‘, that was released in summer of 2017 via Napalm Records. They have enlisted fellow Canadian rockers STRIKER to provide direct support and HELION PRIME will open the shows. The tour kicks off September 9th in Seattle, WA and runs through October 14th in Vancouver, BC. More dates are expected to be added soon, and a complete list of confirmed dates can be found below.
With the new album release date just around corner and inching closer as days roll by, EXMORTUS have come up with yet another killer announcement. The neo-classical thrash metal outfit will celebrate the release of their upcoming record, ‘The Sound Of Steel‘ by following it up with a massive headlining tour of North America. This would also be the group’s maiden voyage as headliners, after having released three albums already in their short but illustrative career. So, EXMORTUS will hit the road this summer headlining ‘The Summer of Steel Tour!’ Featuring support from THE ABSENCE and HATCHET alongside IMMORTAL GUARDIAN, BLACK FAST and label mates MICAWBER on select shows; EXMORTUS will embark on tour dates beginning June 28th in San Diego. GATECREEPER will kick off their North American co-headlining tour with recent Relapse signees FULL OF HELL this week. GATECREEPER will join ‘The Sweltering Ecstasy Tour’ on May 28th in Phoenix, Arizona following their appearance at the Modified Ghost Festival III in Vancouver, British Columbia on May 24th. From there, the pair will crush skulls together for three weeks, the tour concluding on June 17th in San Antonio, Texas. See all confirmed dates below.

French death-grinders BENIGHTED have announced a fall European tour that sees the band joining ABORTED and CRYPTOPSY. The tour kicks off on November 1 and concludes on November 25. A full list of confirmed full dates can be found below.
BENIGHTED are touring in support of ‘Necrobreed‘, which was released last year on February 27. It has been a little over a year now and the sickness of the new and latest record has not ceased spreading yet. The new album was pretty well received by fans and critics all over the world and cemented the band’s impact on the death metal/grind scene even more. Released under French label Season Of Mist, this is their eighth studio effort, and if you ask me, it is the most strongest record in their entire two decade long catalogue.

ALICE IN CHAINS have announced dates for the second leg of their North American headline tour, which kicks off August 22 at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver, BC. Idaho deathcore act EXTORTIONISThave announced that they will be embarking on a brief North American tour this spring with BY THE THOUSANDS. The tour is slated to kick off April 22nd in Peoria, IL at The Rail II, and will conclude on April 27th in Salt Lake City, UT at The Loading Dock.

American Power Trio PRONG has announced the continuation of their Zero Daystour with a series of West Coast dates alongside POWERFLO. After a solid year of touring with the likes of TESTAMENT, OBITUARY, SEPULTURA, and EXODUS, as well as filling key slots on the European Summer Festival Circuit, the band now brings it back home to the states, including a highly coveted, co-headlining run with HELMET.
UNDERØATH, who surprised fans last week with the announcement of a new album, ‘Erase Me‘ (April 6, Fearless Records), have also confirmed a Spring trek across the U.S., dubbed the Nø Fix Tour. Every ticket purchased for the upcoming tour will include a digital download of the new album.
“We cannot wait to play songs off Erase Me live,” said the band about the upcoming dates. “This record means so much to us and we just wanna share that with all of you guys. Can’t wait to get back on the road and play some music, new and old!”
