Motograter have released a new 30 minute, career spanning video that chronicles the band’s entire history. The band was famously fronted by former member Ivan Moody (Five Finger Death Punch) but has since resurrected and made a full comeback with James Anthony Legion at the helm!
Like father like son! Yes, remember Bruce Dickinson’s son Austin’s hard rock band, AS LIONS ? They recently released their killer debut album ‘Selfish Age‘ and this week put out the new video for the title track. It features live footage from their time on the road capturing snippets of their set at Rock On The Range (US), Graspop (Belgium) and Nova Rock (Austria), and indicating the bands exciting upsurge.
The band has seen a Top 12 hit in the US Mainstream Rock Billboard chart with single ‘Aftermath’, and tours with the likes of FIVE FINGER DEATH PUNCH & SHINEDOWN plus multiple festival appearances. They are also heading out to support NOTHING MORE throughout the USA and Canada in September and October, including an appearance at Sonic Boom Festival.

Last month SEVENDUST guitarist JOHN CONNOLLY‘S side project PROJECTED released their second album “Ignite My Insanity” through RatPak Records. “Ignite My Insanity” is a double disc headbanger that links heavy riffs with melodic hooks and choruses. PROJECTED is a super-group of sorts featuring members of SEVENDUST, ALTER BRIDGE, CREED, TRIMONTI and SUBMERSED. We had the pleasure of spending some time with JOHN CONNOLLY. In a recent interview conducted by Alternative Nation, the versatile artist spoke about how the hip hop and R&B industry and its artist are more on the fore front when it comes to innovation and diversity. MOTÖRHEAD had a special knack for covering songs of their favourite artists and giving it a pure rock and roll and classic heavy metal touch to it. Every album had one song or the other which Lemmy and co. liked to morph it to their own taste and it would undoubtedly make an excellent rendition of the original song. Hell, sometimes even better than the original. Be it the legendary British punk rock SEX PISTOL‘s ‘God Save The Queen‘ or The Rolling Stones‘ ‘Sympathy For The Devil‘ or even ‘Whiplash‘ by METALLICA, the band who themselves cite MOTÖRHEAD as their probably biggest inspiration to whatever they’re doing today. Chicago heavy rockers SOiL will release “Scream: The Essentials” on September 15, 2017, via Pavement Entertainment and AFM Records. Celebrating the band’s 20-year career, this release will feature tracks from their humble beginnings, rise to fame, and also include alternate versions and mixes.
British progressive mastermind and front man of psychedelic rock band PORCUPINE TREE, STEVEN WILSON a couple of days ago did a live Q&A on his official Facebook page. Spanning close to 38 minutes, he was asked various questions by his fans online. One of them was on why he chose to be a vegetarian, to which he has some pretty strong words as follows.

Mirrored Image is a 4 piece band based in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky. There isn’t a huge rock scene in the area that is better known for country and bluegrass artists, but Mirrored Image is looking to change that. The Kentuckians boast a true alt rock sound with amazing melodic vocals. The band has a sound that the music world has truly been missing. They have a 90’s alt rock inspired sound but with their own modern twist. Mirrored Image is made up of vocalist and songwriter Dylan Belcher, guitarist and backing vocalist Mark Chaney, drummer Evan Compton and bassist Elijah Purvis. Mirrored Image’s debut album ‘The Pursuit of Happiness’ released in April and the band has been making a name for themselves ever since. The easiest way to describe their sound is to say its 1 part Oasis, 1 part Nirvana, and 1 part Blur and then shake forcefully. They have the songwriting power and vocal harmonies of Oasis, the rawness of Nirvana and the explosive energy of Blur. The band’s debut album kicks off with the song “Mask” and its an incredible starting place for the band showing off everything they have to offer in one track that ends with incredible intensity. They mix things up and every track stands out for a different reason. Though they may remind you of iconic rock bands from the past they truly have their own unique style of music and writing. Several of the tracks on this album quickly get stuck in your head and you have to revisit them just to sing along. This debut by Mirrored Image will leave a lasting reflection on you.
