Hey y’all! We thought it’d be great if we could dawn another premiere on you folks. Where all things are flashy, posh and life moves faster than the speed of light, Los Angeles certainly holds an unique as well as an appealing status to it. Similarly, the music that comes out of this world class city is in no different league. Today, we bring to you another Metal Nexus exclusive music video premiere of the LA based alternative gothic/metal trio, SEVEN DAY SLEEP. The quartet are premiering their all new music video, “Down“, which is a cover of alternative/indie or dance/electronic duo of Marian Hill from Philadelphia. The music video was filmed during the band’s official EP release party for ‘Home For Disgusting Fairies‘, and it incorporates the haunted fairy tale themes that the album revolves around.
Normally a fierce hard rock/grunge group out of Palestine, Texas, BLACKTOP MOJO has put out a new and refreshing soft acoustic single, called “Underneath“. Treading the path of what majority of grunge rock bands do, that is, release a soft and heart touching number amidst the heavy hitting characteristic sound, the quintet has managed to pull off an excellent emotional single. Despite it being the norm, the song is definitely not just another brick in the wall(you see what I did there!). The song is about personal suffering and damage and it perfectly encapsulates the message it brings forth. Here’s drummer Nathan breaking down the meaning of the song for you,
“I’ve seen firsthand how bitterness and anger can destroy a person from the inside out. This song is about that, but also saying “I understand what happened, and I’m sorry you went through the painful things that brought you to this point” Keep your heart free , forgive people even if they don’t deserve it.“
ZHORA‘s sophomore release ‘Ethos, Pathos, Logos‘ that came out last October, somehow went under our radar. Now that we have found about it, we’re gonna serve you with some hot and fresh new music video that just got off the grill. ZHORA has unveiled their new music video for “Riverchrist” off of their most recent album. The track is intense, the vocals doesn’t fail to grab you by your throat, the riffs just does justice to the genre sludge metal, it’s heavy and has a lot of fuzz going on in it. What is also interesting is the video is animated, something that reminds me of my childhood when I’d grab a popcorn bowl and be hooked on to Cartoon Network. But this one is like gore and un-tasteful for the 10 year old kid in me. Anyways, now that you’re into all things dark, who doesn’t like a bit of blood and repulsive stuff, eh!?
French death-grinders BENIGHTED have released a new video for the track “Leatherface“. “Leatherface” is the second video taken from BENIGHTED‘s latest album, ‘Necrobreed‘.
The gruesome video, produced by Kick your Eyes Productions, features Cecylia Suicide as a serial killer harboring distinct personalities.
BENIGHTED vocalist Julien Truchan comments about the music video, “We are proud and stoked to unleash this new creepy episode of our ‘Necrobreed’ story in the shape of a music video for the track ‘Leatherface’! Kick Your Eyes Productions once again did a great job and delivered this second piece of insanity starring the gorgeous Cecylia Suicide! Enjoy!“
Supergroup A PERFECT CIRCLE have released quite artsy and minimalist video for the track, “The Doomed“, which is the first new music to be heard from the band’s much expected 2018 studio album. Shot beautifully in a stark and contrasting black and white setting, mainly featuring portraits of each band member, the video was directed by Jeremy Danger and Travis Shinn, who has previously collaborated with THE OBSESSED, INTEGRITY etc. The band is in the final two weeks of their North American run, which has also stirred some debate on the use of cellphone for photography during their set. Check out the remaining tour dates below.

Australia’s one of the biggest exports in the extreme metal genre, NE OBLIVISCARIS just released their first official music video off the upcoming album, ‘Urn’ for the track ‘Intra Venus‘, and it sounds beautiful yet ghastly. This new album is a follow up to 2014’s ‘Citadel‘ which in my opinion is a great album and worth mentioning if you want delve into progressive death metal.
