This week on Talk Toomey: The Metal Nexus Podcast, Joshua Toomey brought Robb Rivera of Nonpoint back on for a third time.  The two talked about Nonpoint‘s plans for the upcoming year and whether or not there’d be any shows or tours coming up.  Robb also shares his reactions to Nonpoint’s The Poison Red album.

Josh also pulled Robb’s opinions on nu metal and we listened to his song picks and stories from the bands (Hed) peStuck MojoDownsetOrange 9mmDeftones, and Snot. Robb informs us he credits Snot with changing Nonpoint‘s on stage performance stating “If you don’t leave the stage sweating and bloody, you haven’t done your job.”

Nonpoint Release New Song “Generation Idiot” [Streaming]

Nonpoint have released the first track off their upcoming album ‘The Poison Red’ due out on July 8th on Spinefarm Records. The album is the follow up to 2014 release The Return. Nonpoint have been taking the stage and dominanting crowds since 1997, the same year their debut “Separate Yourself” was released. The new track “Generation Idiot” is 100% pure Nonpoint through and through, and today (5/14) the band is recording a video for this track as well. Make sure to pre-order the new album here.
