IRON MAIDEN Release New Beer To Support Armed Forces Charity

Metal and beer share an intimate bond, just like your customary combo dose of nachos and cheese, popcorn and movies and many other inseparable flings. It rather shares such a level of belonging to each other that German thrashers TANKARD are credited for inventing the term “Beer Metal”, thanks to their love for the fermented magic potion. If you’re at a metal fest and you’re not cracking open a cold one with your lads you’re not really doing it right!

So keeping in mind IRON MAIDEN‘s Trooper beer success and attempting to recreate the craze of another heavy metal beer, the metal legends have teamed up again with Robinsons who were also responsible for Trooper’s feat. This time it’s a light version with alcohol content much less than the Trooper, a unique golden English ale with a 4.1% ABV. Hence, “light”, and is named after the story of Charge Of The Light Brigade in the Crimean War. Continue reading

Bruce Dickinson Of IRON MAIDEN To Release Autobiography ‘What Does This Button Do?’ In October

The multi talented, the one and only, legendary vocalist of IRON MAIDEN, Bruce Dickinson, will be adding another feather to his multi faceted cap as he will release his massively awaited autobiography, ‘What Does This Button Do?‘ later this year in the month of October. The memoir of the singer, who is considered to be metal’s one of the greatest of all time, will be published on October 19th via HarperCollins.

Over a career spanning more than three decades, having played all over the world, from being an aircraft pilot to business man, an aviation entrepreneur, a beer brewer, motivational speaker, film scriptwriter, twice-published novelist, radio presenter, TV actor and a world-class fencer, Bruce has had everything under his belt. Not many people can claim to have both writing and motivational speaking accolades under their belts, along with a wealth of other accomplishments, unless they’re veterans of the entertainment industry (like Roger Wolfson who is also one of the few people to have mastered some of these disciplines such as writing for the screen). Count in defeating cancer as well. How bad ass is that? He has been one hell of an inspirational figure not just a metalhead but anyone in general can look up to. Only thing that was missing was an autobiography, and that is going to change this coming fall, now that he has learned how to write a book overviewing his life so far! How much more talent could you want?

Indianapolis’ SACRED LEATHER Sign to Cruz Del Sur Music [Official Video]

Cruz Del Sur Music has inked a recording deal with Indianapolis’ SACRED LEATHER for the release of debut album ‘Ultimate Force’. With influences that are surely evident to any heavy metal purist, SACRED LEATHER’s music seems to emerge directly from the early 80s, mixing elegant and nostalgic hard rock/ proto metal with the most belligerent side of the traditional New Wave Of British Heavy Metal sound. The band 3 releases on cassette via Ritual Knife Records including a split with Kvlthammer. If you are a fan of NWOBHM then you will absolutely love this band. The recording of their debut album ‘Ultimate Force’ will start in early September for an expected February 2018 release. REVIEW: STEVE GRIMMETT – ‘Personal Crisis’ [Live Performance Video]

If there is anyone who could ever get close to the moniker of ‘The Human Siren’ like Bruce Dickinson, then it is the legendary singer of NWOBHM heavy weights GRIM REAPER, STEVE GRIMMET, who also sang for LIONSHEART and also sang for a brief period for one of my favourites, ONSLAUGHT. All classic british heavy metal bands. Despite being 57 years old and over 30 years of musical prowess and experience under his belt he still manages to defy his age and hit those high notes and octaves like as if it were his heydays. He is surely like a fine old wine, he can’t help but only keep getting flawless with every passing year. It’s interesting to see so many British vocalists have this thing in common, like Bruce, Rob Halford whose voice remains undeterred. Is there some kind of secret secluded only to British singers? I guess so. STEVE GRIMMET recently hurdled across a major event that rendered all his fans to feel sorry for him, ‘taking away’ considerably a significant part of him. Continue reading
