Sevendust legend John Connolly returns to the Talk Toomey Podcast. John and I discuss their new album “All I See Is War”. We talk for over an hour about all things Sevendust, his previous band and how is Projected album was taken in by the fans. I do cheat and ask a series of fan submitted questions, but they do get great responses. All in all this is a great chat and John is definitely a talker.

Sevendust guitarist, John Connolly returns to join Joshua Toomey for this week’s episode of Talk Toomey – The Metal Nexus Podcast for an in-depth interview. Starting out his musical journey as a drummer who was largely influenced by bands like KISS and Rush, Connolly details how it was Eddie Van Halen, Dimebag Darrell – and most of all, James Hetfield – who inspired him to become a guitarist instead. Last month SEVENDUST guitarist JOHN CONNOLLY‘S side project PROJECTED released their second album “Ignite My Insanity” through RatPak Records.  “Ignite My Insanity” is a double disc headbanger that links heavy riffs with melodic hooks and choruses.  PROJECTED is a super-group of sorts featuring members of SEVENDUST, ALTER BRIDGE, CREED, TRIMONTI and SUBMERSED.  We had the pleasure of spending some time with JOHN CONNOLLY.  In the conversation we spoke about the new PROJECTED record, writing, touring and the future of the mighty SEVENDUST.
