LUCIFER Becomes A Phoenix With Their Sophomore Release “Lucifer II”

After the amicable departure of Gaz Jennings (Cathedral, Death Penalty, Septic Tank) in 2016, the future of Lucifer was up in the air. Determined to keep the Lucifer rising, vocalist Johanna Sadonis found a new songwriting partner in Nicke Andersson (Exhumed, Imperial State Electric, The Hellacopters). Through Nicke’s musical background in death metal and pop driven rock and roll, these two fans of 70s heavy rock could find common ground. While this sophomore release Lucifer II is still the Lucifer you know and love, there is a fresh energy in these new songs.

The Bucketlist With Raf Salazar From LOADED GUNS!

*In this series we pose the age old questions to a wide array of music lovers. As fans of music most of us keep a mental list of active bands we want to see live that we haven’t yet seen. The Bucketlist brings to you those lists of your favorite artists and why those bands mean so much to them*

Loaded Guns is a Miami, Florida based rock band with a stylistic mixture of rock & roll and modern heavy metal. The band was founded in 2011 by vocalist Rafael Salazar and quickly picked up his brother Andrew Salazar on bass. The duo began to audition the best of the local talent and soon enough Loaded Guns had a full line up. In late 2015, the rock quintet signed a record deal with Century Media Records and shortly after headed to the studio to record their debut EP. Engineered and produced by the Grave Brothers (Asking Alexandria) of InnerSound Studios, the band is now geared up to release their new EP titled, ‘Unstoppable’ on August 25th. From the catchier, anthem driven songs like ‘Bring Us Down’ to heavy metal driven songs like ‘Masks’; Loaded Guns has a lot to offer to the music community and brings a fresh new sound many have been craving in the rock world. Review of Night Demon’s Killer, Band Defining “Darkness Remains”

Night Demon is:

Jarvis Leatherby: vocals and bass guitar

Armand John Anthony: guitar

Dusty Squires: drums

Night Demon has been a universal favorite among our staff members for quite some time now. When I was fortunate to see them for the first time with Anvil and Graveshadow last month (Review), I was simply blown away. I loved their music before, but after seeing them, Night Demon has damned near become an obsession that eventually landed us a copy of Darkness Remains, to be released April 21st, 2017 on the Century Media record label. Needless to say, this CD has been worn… the… hell… out!

Review: Black Temple “It All Ends”

blacktemple

Black Temple had my attention prior to even hearing one note of their music. There were several variables as to why they impressed me. The first being that they were declared the “most violent and energetic live act in Sweden.” I mean how impressive is that? I’m sure that captures the attention of most every metalhead. It’s been mentioned that the band has probably trashed more instruments and amplifiers than they can afford. Second, they were the first band being signed to the label Razzia Notes. One of the cool things about the new label is that it’s owned by Anders Fridén lead singer of the Gothenburg metal legends In Flames. Razzia also has a collaboration with Century Media as well so they will be distributing this album and possibly future albums. Anders himself is quoted with saying “”First time I heard BLACK TEMPLE, I freaked and I said to myself, ‘I gotta work with these guys somehow.” The trio has been together since 2010 and have a variety of influences which may contribute to their unique sound.
