BLIND GUARDIAN recently announced that they are going to release a live album entitled, ‘Live Beyond The Spheres‘ after just two years of releasing their last studio album, ‘Beyond The Red Mirror’ in 2015. The live album will actually be a compilation of their best tracks into one show taken from 40 different concerts recorded during their European Tour in 2015, which surprisingly also happens to be the first BLIND GUARDIAN live album in almost 15 years. It promises to be an exhilarating indulgence in what could possibly turn out to be one of the best power metal live albums. The live album will contain 22 tracks, encompassing timeless hits like ‘The Bard’s Song (In The Forest)‘, ‘Valhalla‘ and ‘Mirror Mirror‘, to rather rarely performed songs like ‘And There Was Silence’. The record will be purchasable as a 3CD-digipak as well as a 4LP-box-set.
Hardcore punk or sludge metal legends THE MELVINS are adding one more feather to their long list of humongous catalogue. They are releasing a double album ‘A Walk With Love & Death‘ on July 7 via Ipecac Recordings, and with that going on THE MELVINS are streaming a new song, ‘What’s Wrong With You‘ off the same album.
The song features vocals from Steven McDonald (Redd Kross/OFF!), who is part of the band’s current recording and touring line-up, as well as That Dog‘s Anna Waronker.
“We love Steven! ‘What’s Wrong with You’ is a great addition to our long Melvins catalog,” proclaims Buzz Osborne. “There’s no other song on this record that sounds like it and that’s what makes it so cool!”, he further adds.
Slipknot is from Iowa, United States and they are the biggest Nu-Metal band from it’s genre, they are filled with hatred,anger and passion. The world started to be a better place since their first full self titled album ‘Slipknot’ that got released via Roadrunner Records on the 29th of June 1999. 2 years later Slipknot came back to reign hell again with my all time favorite album ‘Iowa’, this masterpiece is filled with abomination. In 2004 they released ‘Vol. 3 Subliminal Verses’ which features the band’s anthem song ”Pulse Of The Maggots”. ‘All Hope Is Gone’ got out in the year 2008 and touches more on the instrumental side of the band, don’t worry it is still filled with rage! Latest album ‘.5: The Gray Chapter’ from 2014 is dedicated to their former bassist Paul Gray who died on the 24th of May 2010, for everyone that lost someone in their life this is the album to listen to. It is dark, heavy and really emotional.
For all the people that don’t know the band so well their fans are called ”Maggots” and all the band members have specific numbers, they also wear mask and with every album they change it. The mask shows us what is going on deep inside the member. This is their way of expressing themselves. So with that out of the way we can continue with the news!

Phil Campbell And The Bastard Sons is led by the former Motörhead guitarist Phil Campbell and 3 of his own sons, those sons play on the drum, bass and guitar. Their vocalist is Neil Starr, he has been known for fitting the roll of vocalist/rhythm guitar for the band Attack! Attack!. Together they make an awesome Rock & Roll band! It is very good to see Phil continuing making more music after Lemmy’s death, he would be proud! They have released 2 EP’s so far, their ‘Self Titled’ one and their ‘Live At Solothurn’ EP, both will rock you out of your chair! I have linked some songs at the end of this article for all of you awesome rockers out there, I already can’t get enough of the band!

Riverdogs are back! Despite a heap of support from fans and critics, the band’s 1990 debut album ‘Riverdogs’ received an underwhelmed reception from their record label, which eventually forced each member to pursue different interests. However, the group reunited in 1993 to release follow-up albums ‘Absolutely Live’ and ‘Bone’. The guys continued working together and recording, however the songs wouldn’t be heard until 2011 with the release of ‘World Gone Mad’, courtesy of MelodicRock Records, which contains various recording sessions from 2003 to 2010. Since then, Riverdogs have teamed up with Frontier Records SRL to release the upcoming 2017 album, ‘California’, due out July 7th. Continue reading
Stoners and death metallers from Richmond, VA, CANNABIS CORPSE have made it official that they are soon going to release their fourth full length studio effort this year in the month of September, on 8th Friday, out via Season Of Mist. The album is funnily named ‘Left Hand Pass‘ as a pun after ENTOMBED‘s ground breaking debut album ‘Left Hand Path‘. CANNABIS CORPSE have always made funny parodic album names or song names, which I think is pretty hysterical and is an unique knack that lands them the special place in their fans’ hearts. The group formed just over a decade ago and features members from crossover thrashers, MUNICIPAL WASTE and fellow death metal comrades SIX FEET UNDER, are back again to stir shit up and impale you with another round of weed induced bone rattling death metal high, courtesy of their new single, ‘Chronic Breed‘(see video below). The new track sounds like a monster. Take a blunt, get yourself some dab rigs cheap, however you like to get your high, sit back and listen to some brutal death metal sonic monstrosity! Stockholm based Swedish heavy metal/stoner metal trio GRAND MAGUS will be out touring in support of their latest album, ‘Sword Songs‘ which was just released over a year ago via Nuclear Blast on the May 13th, 2016. Taking the classic heavy metal sound and throwing in some doom/stoner metal and power metal, GRAND MAGUS has been doing pretty good, as it is evident on their latest studio album. It has been received well by the critics and also saw it feature on many year end list for best albums last year. The band have been touring ever since they let their album out of the barn. They let the audience have the first glimpse of their new songs live when they joined forces with AMON AMARTH and TESTAMENT on the fomer’s ‘Jomsviking European Tour’ which was one hell of an extensive touring they went through last winter in Europe.
